So, what do we think about a painted cover in the style of Melodrama? I'd love it  
just not the Joan Baez one she posted on instagram, she can keep that sorry 
I even think that COCC will be kinda like Melodrama, sonically: a mix of electronic instrumentation and some classic piano, with casual beats and some effects on her voice... It will be more modern leaning than NFR!, something similar to the Cinnamon Girl outro, imo.

The way this thread is now past its 500th page and the only thing we got is a now deleted snippet on Instagram. Our collective mind. 

Hopefully the "continuation of NFR!" means sunsets next to the beachside and that's it because I've had enough saccharine sweet piano ballads

I really don’t know. We’ve been saying that for three weeks now lol
the snippet kinda made me think it would build up from there... but if it’s the only tangible thing we are getting until release?
all I need is a confirmation of the date. I can live with whatever, but a confirmation of the Sept 5 release or whatever date if it is postponed.

LIB isn’t that great either. It’s pretty easy to see why it was scrapped in my opinion, it almost feels unfinished.... something’s just missing

So, the theme behind this one is pretty obvious: the escape to California in search of a better life 
I've tried to add songs from each album like they're telling a story: from her arrival to the Golden State (FIILY), to her wanting her man there (Freak), the disillusion about what's seems to be the Garden of Eden but in reality is the Garden of Evil (Gods & Monsters), the melancholy of her reminiscing the time with her man (California & VB) till the last songs in which she questions her happiness in that place... I was aiming to an overall summery feeling, and I think it's pretty well balanced!
I've even turned this into a Spotify playlist that I listen to regularly.
