so im about to act up in the name of the cocc era
STORY TIME: so im in an intro to graphic design class, and we are learning how to use photoshop. our assignment was to make an aesthetic collage, and i pushed it off till the night before its due, and i had to use 12 images, so i collected a bunch of blue images because its my fav color, and i noticed there were a tone of shots of chemtrails on the site we have to use to choose our pictures from, so i took like at least 5, and a big blue parrot (like the ones in the movie Rio), I chose the parrot becuase i needed a central figure for my collage(it was in the requirements) and then I realized I needed a theme and a message... so i had to come up with something on the spot...
my theme you ask? "Chemtrails Over the Blue Parrots"..... I'm going to go into the zoom presentation tomorrow with the same energy Lana had during her BBC1 interview. This professor is already not my biggest fan, no one in the class really knows me, I'm always behind and slow to learn everything in the class, so they dont even know what to expect from me, but im going to go into it and be like super cracked out and say something like "so my theme is like about these blue parrots  like in the movie Rio, and everyone knows the Rio movie parrots are extinct...so the chemtrails symbolize impending doom to the blue parrots, and its just like, basically like when the people STORMED THE CAPITOL, like it ruined something beautiful, its just like a total reminder to us as people to take account for the capitols we are storming in our own lives, and what metaphorical parrots we are putting extinct in our own lives." and then maybe go into how its super messed up how animals go extinct and perhaps bring up how trump made no effort to save any animals on the verge of extinction. Just like get super off topic and delusional sounding and see how it goes over.
I mean the collage itself is really good so its not like she can fail me....I really have nothing to lose here....

I can’t believe in a few days we’ll be 4 weeks away from the album coming out... that’s so close!!!  Remember back in August when we were dying for any update and wondering when it would come out? And now somehow it’s almost here!   All the confusion and drama we lived through together to make it here... it almost feels unreal.  In just over a month, we’ll really be discussing which songs are our favourites and which lyrics or instrumentals changed our lives!!

    Ok, so
In "Dance Til We Die" she sings "I've been covering Joni and dancing with Joan" "Not All Who Wanders Are Lost" has a high thrill and reminds Lana of "Cinderella in the movie, where she's holding the blue bird" "Wild At Heart" has a similar theme about being untameable as the title track has "Breaking Up Slowly" is about the relationship of  Tammy Wynette and George Jones and the "Breaking up slowly is a hard thing to do"-line was made up during a conversation Nikki and Lana had in a hotel room. Nikki and Lana wrote 4 more songs together She talks about a cover album full of country songs (she namedrops Bobby Gentry, Hank Williams, Patsy Cline and Wynette, although it's not said whether she actually covered them) and one with folk songs "Dark But Just A Game" is sonically compared to Portishead and Ricky Nelson's"Garden Party". Lyrically, it is supposed to be similar to Allen Ginsberg's poem "Howl".
Apart from that, it seems to be inspired by an disillusioning incident at a party she attended with Jack, hosted by Madonna and U2's manager Guy Oseray, where she contemplated about how it's best not to meet your idols and how musicians change in strange ways. The title originates from a conversation between her and Jack.
Jack also describes this song as "so LDR", being about "fly down the rabbit hole and smile in the same breath" On "White Dress" she sings in a rapt, innocent whisper
The song is about being 19, working as a waitress, listening to the White Stripes and Kings Of Leon. Lana describes it as being close to unedited journaling, not being "too afraid about being kind of stupid".
She also says that she's not sounding great during the chorus - it's described as sounding awestruck, trembling, "the voice of someone on the bring of something" and very fitting to the thematic of the song
We also get some lyrics: "Look how I do this, look how I've got this"
Also, there is a reference to "grass always being greener", which is something Eclipse has referred to within his hints

imagine the collapse if lana talks about the next album after chemtrails in the magazine interview and we have a pre-release thread and a pre-pre-release thread at the same time

Y’all weird. I like this shit

i also like how Charlie is like a weird trailer park meth Polaroid star just like lizzy was... I also like how this collaboration gives subtle hints of violent underground NY scenes that lizzy was so accustomed to behind closed doors ...
