    The disappointment is... real

i'm a casual listener, i loved TOTL, some songs from the #1 era, some songs from Clarity and some unreleased songs too

but this (Alone) feels so uninspired, old, already heared before, not fresh at all, and i'm lowkey tired of the 90s interpolations/samples
since Unholy it's like she wanna flop

I think we got the songs from this record, including I talk to jesus or or living legend. This was her original project before she discarded it proceeded to create ultraviolence. Maybe she felt like her sophmore project had to be more bombastic and dramatic as the album became and not so mellow (even though i love the original concept).

So it seems like, thematically the album will be a mixture of Life is so hard/Sad love songs/God is a bitch.
I hope for 13 tracks at least

Other than copyright issues (on the producers behalf and anyone else involved) I really don't understand why it took so long for her team to release an unreleased track...
Like, weren't they aware how much demand there was all of these years?

Was it because Lana liked the idea to keep those tracks at hand just in case she felt like adding them to an album?
Surely most of them aren't that "personal" (the ones that are popular, at least) and she isn't really interesting in world-building anymore...  So it wouldn't really matter.

It's not like she's going to promote them anyways, so that wasn't an impediment before either...

I can’t believe it, after all this time. I just want it on an album where it belongs. I don’t want it to be on ocean Blvd nor a single. I don’t even know if I want yth after the non Lana fans found it. It was lowkey ruined when a girl I borderline hate sang “I’ve got my eye on you” and she isn’t even a Lana Stan

I’d rather get batches of unreleased according to era, like for an anniversary of the record. Missed the 10 year for BTD though . That would keep it cohesive.

I don’t want to here one negative thing about Say Yes To Heaven because this is truly an iconic moment. Like idgaf if you think it is a basic bitch song, soak in this rare iconic moment for what it is

and I don’t even care about Say Yes To Heaven but I can still appreciate that it is getting an official release

tbh whenever lana releases an album, i usually spend less time online in general. leading up to the release its all i think about so i'm online talking about it constantly and wondering what it'll be like but once its out i'm just enjoying it. i don't really care to write big reviews and analyses, it just doesn't matter to me. sometimes i'll have random thoughts i wanna share here and there about the songs or i'll be curious about othwr people's opinions but for the most part, i just wanna enjoy the album on my own. its like i only stream it til my records show up, thwn i listen to my records instead. so i don't think people talking about the album less or streaming it less means we're all over it. its just, what is there to say that hasn't already been said? like we're not gonna force conversation just to prove we still like the album

Something about the Online Exclusive cover is very 'Hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have - but I have it' and I think it's the most iconic cover of all!
