I just can't stop playing the TJF snippet on repeat  the imagery it evokes is too powerful. I can literally feel this song. I can feel the hot summer desert sun fading away from my skin as it sets into dusk, I can smell the lingering scent of gasoline & cigarettes mixed in with old leather and dried up sunscreen.  The smell of my man's masculine musk from the car seat next to me as we bump over potholes on our way to the motel, with me gazing at the scene of endless cacti and shrubs passing us by  I can taste the ice-cold fruit punch Capri Sun I stored in a cooler as I swat away the flies and mosquitoes that entered through the car window when I opened to let my hair wave free in the wind. I'm so excited where the rest of the song will bring me 
 

I mean, there's toxic and creepy. 
Some comments are indeed rude or mean but I don't think most users here are convinced they'll marry Lana or something. And when we're investigating, even if it's often intrusive, it's out of curiosity and not to harm Lana or her relatives. We don't have bad intentions. I think it makes a big difference.

I’m super excited for this! What type of video do y’all think we’re going to get? I don’t think it’ll be high budget, but it’ll DEFINITELY have iPhone vhs filter moments. Probably a mix, very cute! I replaced Joe with Jill, bc that was my ex-gf name and it just felt right...and i replaced Long Beach with the city of Vancouver, which is where my grandparents live and seems to be developing at such a quick rate its shocking (i apologize to anyone who doesn't like the fact that I didn't keep it "pure")

Fun fact/story about that sweatshirt - at the Kansas show I attended in 2019, Rob came out to the queue about an hour before we were let in with a bunch of those sweatshirts in hand offering them to some of the freezing girls in line. I was absolutely freezing, as since it was only an hour before we were being let in, I had already ditched my coat, scarf, and the pajama pants I was wearing under my dress while queuing.  I still had a light cardigan and a friend I met in line gave me his poncho too, but I was still very cold - I was wearing the dress Lana wore at her Dallas show in 2018 and it's teeny tiny. All my friends were telling me to ask Rob for one of the sweatshirts, and my friends even shoved me in front of him, and I fell (lmao.) He asked me if I was okay and I quickly laughed and said yes before I ducked behind my friends and yelled at them for doing that lmaoooo. But yes, my shyness got the best of me and I chickened out of the chance to receive a free LDR sweatshirt from Rob Grant himself. But hey, paying $20 for one instead isn't bad at all! x

Tbh sometimes I think about how cool it was to have talked to him. He found out it was my friends 18th that night and actually asked Lana to come over to us , it was so freaking awesome. She signed my Uv CD and told us this story about how for her eighteenth she went up to Canada , can’t rly remember if she said Montreal or what city, but went and got super drunk because the legal drinking age was 18. Then she was like DONT DO THAT!! I WAS VERY BAD!! Lol. What a fun night! @Elle and all her friends were super sweet and it made waiting an hour in freezing temperatures feel worth it!

I was wayyyy too shy to try to ask him for something, but my friends & I ended up speaking with him for like 15 minutes after the show while waiting for Lana out by her tourbus. He told us some pretty silly Lana stories, like how she's so afraid of spiders that she once tipped over a canoe they were in because there was a spider on it. Someone else had asked about her learning to fly a plane and he started talking about how she had once written a song about flying a plane, so I started singing some of the lyrics to Aviation and he looked at me very stunned and said, "Yes, that's the song!"
He's super, super cool and I feel honoured to have spoken to him for so long with my friends. @CHIPCHROME was one of the friends there talking to him with me! I just wish I had been that confident a few hours earlier when free merch was on the table lol x

I bought my very first tablet for some uni classes I will be taking later, so I tried to familiarize myself with it this evening. Here's my first digital drawing with it! :'3 It was difficult at first, I'm not used to at how hard to press the "pen", how to move my hand but it went better with time (and a good tutorial on how the software I used works). ♥
 

It's been 4 1/2 years since I last posted my collection here, and it was time for a much needed update!! 
Unfortunately, unlike my fellow collector queen @electra, I do not possess enough open space to take one big picture of it all, so I had to photograph it all in chunks.
I've divided everything below into the following categories - Music, Merch & Misc., Apparel Merch, Posters, Magazines, and Clothing worn by LDR. Within those spoilers will be photographs & a write-up of everything. The magazines & clothing are my favourite things to collect, and that's where my collection really shines. The majority of items in my collection come from those two categories.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy, and I'll see you guys in another 4 1/2 years to do another update, because I was reminded during this grueling process of why I waited so long to do an update and how physically & emotionally taxing it is xx

 I’m not sure why but seeing that story made me really sad..I feel like she’s such a genuine person and she’s getting so much heat/hate lately and it makes me really sad for her. Like Facebook articles, reviewers, Twitter.. everyone is coming for her and why??
 
 And why did seeing that video trigger my sadness 

LOL aw, in all seriousness though, I think I get why you felt sad seeing it. I feel like candid little videos like this really capture who Lana is - she’s generous of spirit, eclectic, a chronicler of sorts, and you can tell she’s someone who finds joy in the little things (like a wolf snow globe!). She’s definitely one of a kind and is the rarer/gentler/more confident/genuine type of person that is hard to come by in a lifetime. It’s sad that someone with this pure of heart isn’t being seen for what she is - little moments like this just remind us of how special she is, even aside from her art. Just who she is!
 
I didn’t mean to write a paragraph about a literal 6 second video   but I totally felt the same watching it! I love her so much and it really sucks to see her being lampooned in the media.  but our girl is strong and sees through all of it <3

I love all of Lana’s records so much and there is not a single song in her discography that I dislike but I have to say - the vulnerability and intimacy of her entire artistic output as of late is totally enchanted by her vocals sitting atop a piano-driven instrumental. 
 
Songs like Let Me Love You Like a Woman and Chemtrails Over the Country Club have this quality to them that is subdued and defiant in a quiet way. Maybe my sensibility is just more rooted in something folkier and stripped down, but I love the richness of her voice with Jack’s production and the clarity of the piano. 
 
 
That being said, I also do love Rick Nowels’s, Dan Auerbach’s, Emile Haynie’s, and whoever else’s production - so so much. Again, I love everything. But I think at this particular stage in Lana’s life and career, Jack Antonoff really does an amazing job of conveying this stripped-down musical landscape that harkens back to Lana’s roots and showcases how she doesn’t need to hide behind any extravagant production (not that she EVER did, because everything she’s done, in my opinion, is amazing - and it’s been because of her, not solely because of any production ) - but it just goes to show that a song like Let Me Love You Like a Woman has a staying power and timelessness that is the result of Lana’s pure vocals, earnest lyricism, and a simple piano.
 
She doesn’t need a lot to shine - but when she does go bigger, she still shines just as much. 

I hate that Chemtrails Over The Country Club is only 11 tracks long. It's too short. I definitely would pay for a deluxe with more songs on it.

My point is that I don't think she's being emotionally inaccurate but rather expressing her perception of that time in her life, which we know very little about. She's not sitting there thinking "today I'll lie about the money we had when I was young." For whatever reason, Lana looks back on her childhood and feels struggle and sadness, and that's her business, not ours, so for people to act like experts on it is frustrating. Anyways, I don't care to argue about whether or not Lana's family had a hard time, I just think people should start respecting her as a human being a little bit more and stop invalidating everything she says about her own experiences.
