Duarte (where she mentions she is) is one town over from Arcadia

Nice to see she's still enjoying the area. Hope we get the Arcadia poem version spontaneously

SHE'S BEAUTIFUL and every word that so graciously falls off her tongue is so beautiful and sacred; everything about her is so intriguing and perfect, I AM SO IN LOVE  my little meow meow

So I'll try to make it make sense like a poem

    Living legend,
If you lie down with me
    Life is beautiful,
    Is this happiness?

The polaroid looks very much like a wardrobe test from a film shoot. Then in the silver fox's stories looks like he was pulling shoes (for Lana). This is actually happening.

LFL was light-hearted? I'm a big fan of that record, with definite exceptions, but I would hardly call '13B,' 'Heroin,' 'WTWWAWWKOD,' 'Cherry,' 'IMF,'  'WM', "Change,' or 'SB' "light-hearted."

I don't find any of Lana's albums 'light-hearted.' She has light-hearted tracks here and there, but every album is littered with darkness, with perhaps COCC being the least dark. Even a song like 'Arcadia' has some darkness.

I'm up, however, for light-hearted Lana on LDR9, as I do like a lot of her more light-hearted songs (like 'Radio,' but definitely not 'Groupie Love')

I don't know the exact time for this song but I blast Hozier's "Angel of Small Death & The Codeine Scene" before going out on a date in the evening. The thrilling guitars give me the sense of something beautiful and exciting coming my way. And if the night doesn't turn out the way I'd like it to be, I can just come back and listen "Cherry Blossom" whatever the time would be, telling me that I'm safe and everything is going to be all right and soothing me to sleep.

(P.S. some random info: "Angel of Small Death & The Codeine Scene" was inspired by "A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man" by James Joyce.)

The delivery just breaks me, and definitely my favourite. I don't know why I relate so much to this.

    I went to a party
I came in hot Made decisions beforehand My mind made up Things that would make me happy To do them or not Each option weighed carefully A plan for each thought & then I walked through the door past the open concept & saw Violet bent backwards over the grass Seven years old with dandelions grasped tightly in her hands Arched like a bridge in a fallen handstand Grinning wildly like a madman With the exuberance that only doing nothing can bring Waiting for the fireworks to begin & in that moment I decided to do nothing about everything

Last year, when I wrote you my last letter,
The beginning of my future poetry
I acknowledged who you really were for the first time.

I didn’t call you by any other name,
I let you know that I knew the true nature of your heart.
    That it was evil,
and that it convinced me that darkness was real,
That the devil is a real devil,
and that monsters don’t always know that they’re monsters.

But projection is an amazing thing.
After you left and burnt the house down,
You tried to convince me it was I who was holding the matches.

You told me I didn’t know who I was,
    But I do.

    I love rose gardens.
I plant violets everytime someone leaves me.
I love the great sequoias of Yosemite

And if you asked my sister to describe the first thing she thinks of when she thinks of me,
She would say 'Camp fire smoke.'

    I’m gentle.
    I’m funny when I’m drunk,
But I haven’t been drunk for 14 years.

I go on trips with my friends to the beach who don’t know that I’m crazy.
    I can do that.
    I can do anything,
    Even leave you.

Because my bedroom is a sacred place now that there are children at the end of my bed,
Telling me stories about the friends that they pretend to hate, that they will make up with later.
And there are fresh cut flowers that I grew myself in vases from the yard on nightstands, hand-carved by old pals from Big Sir.
And the longer I stay here,
    The more I am sure
That the more I step into becoming a poet,
The less I will fall into being with you.

The more I step into my poetry,
The less I will fall into being with you.

The more I step into my poetry,
The less I will fall into bed with you.

Thank you to @ takeitdoen for the transcription, for it has been released in Australia

    I like this poem

Flowers give their scent so freely to anyone who wishes to smell them, never asking for anything in return.   A pure gift.
The purest sense of love ever given, never asking for anything in return.
When was the last time you gave something, never asking for anything in return ?
    Flowers.
    Smell them often.

(the title of this poem is unknown)

    Jasmine in the air
the burden of fame is real
    never felt so clear

Because the sweetness and one noteness of honeysuckle and Jasmine on the first day of spring always stand in such a stark contrast to the layers of chaos and duality that fame has brought to my life
Call me dramatic but it’s the first thing I think of when i see or smell something that is unmistakably itself- something that can’t be interpreted in any other way but one way
What a gift for a flower to invoke only one smell and one sense of romance. With no disdain or melancholy attached to its fragrance.
And to be enjoyed for free
and for that reason unable to be evaluated
