That just made me think like, maybe NFR is so loved by people because her songwriting kind of hit a sweet spot....still quintessential Lana style, but matured and refined a lot, the production also reflected that.

Truly a once in a lifetime record.

Kintsugi and Fingertips haters make me even madder when you take into account that these two songs are very personal, transparent and honest. During COCC she made a video talking about how she wasn't going to let people tell her story for her, that the popular narratives were fictitious, and the real story was more beautiful than what they say. Fingertips is the result of this.

Talking about it all: her siblings, being sent away, resenting her mother, wanting a child, suicide, death/loss of a partner.....I mean, she covered so many bases. As a long time fan I'm very moved by it. Like, sure a lot of this stuff we've known or has been inferred....but it's different when she actually sings about it

It's storytelling, it's songwriting, it's poetry. Those just here for "bops" and "cinematic production" or whatever it is they're not getting....you're just not gonna appreciate or understand the true magnificence of the songs if you don't genuinely love Lana's writing and story. I love hearing her sing about this shit, it feels really personal and touching and I feel every word, it's truly music for the soul. Idk how some people cant see how BIG these two songs are for her. They're so important. But thats just me

She has alluded to it in several songs....she's been linked with multiple people at once....Idk, at the very least, she's had open relationships in the past. Even her latest album kind of touches on these topics

I'm listening to Born To Die and I'm just emotional rn. I think it's UV turning 9 doing me in right now. I just can't believe it's been THAT long. I literally grew up listening to her music and still use it daily. Thinking about at these albums and eras, and listening to the music itself, makes me feel so fucking nostalgic and it's so overwhelming tbh. Personally and as a fan.

She's had such an amazing career and released some of the greatest pieces of music in our generation. She really did the thing and I'm so proud of her. She has such strength and resilience it's unbelievable not to mention her immense talent. It's just in her DNA and it's been so so so beautiful to witness her grow and change through the years. I really hope I can thank her in person one day for that impact she's had on me through music.

Well, she has several photos with Kandy Muse back from the UV days so I believe this.

How can anyone call her discography consistent when it’s all one-off singles, two “mixtapes” (one failed debut, and one disposable EP) and now a “debut” album with material from different scrapped projects and sounds nnnnn.

You can be a stan and still not be delusional. Kim’s career is a MESS.
