Sometimes a thought isn’t worth a thread post, and that’s okay! Our first new award for this year's ceremony - and one I can't believe we didn't already have! As does she 💀 honestly I kinda wish she interacted at least a bit with fans.. it would make the wait between albums much more bearable. Then again I'm not sure it would be such a great idea.
I still remember when during the EYEYE preview I approached her while she was chilling to get 3 of her records signed and she was cold AF and just asked "all 3?" 💀 Like, no babe I came all the way here to show you your own long out of print records and go home straight after... 😳 That interaction kinda ruined her whole image/vibe for me unfortunately.
What projects, that were confirmed to exist, but scrapped, are your favorite, that you really wish they would come into fruition, as planned?

— Scrapped Lana Del Ray a.k.a. Lizzy Grant tracklist (In an interview on a French page it was revealed, that Lana wanted to change her name on the cover to "Lana Del Ray" and add some new songs to the record right before its release, but manegment wanted the album to be as it was)

For me such projects are
1. Making "Cola" a second single and releasing the video for it
2. Scrapped deluxe edition of Ultraviolence with tracks "Fine China" and "Your Girl"
3. Scrapped Lust for Life B-Side album with outtakes
And I possibly looking at the idea of turning Paradise into the full separate album, I really feel like songs from September 2012-February 2013 are so-so Paradise coded, I wonder what would've been if she tried to include there songs like Angels Forever (Demo Version), Ave Maria, Wild One, I Talk to Jesus, and I Don't Wanna Go,
but I'm not sure yet if it would've looked right, I still imagine Paradise time as its own thing, but in Born to Die universe, if that makes sense
i think they're a bit too ambiguous to say exactly what they mean, but i don't really get a transphobic vibe from them, it doesn't seem like they're necessarily judging her
regardless, we can't expect a song from the 1970s to be as politically progressive as a song from today usually will be, i don't think it's wrong to listen to songs that might have an outdated message/viewpoint, but it's best we're aware of it and recognize that it might not be kind or correct

i would loooove if the country album songs get worked into a similar sound like “let the light in” or “nectar of the gods.” these both have some somberness but still maintain a lightness and i think it would nicely juxtapose the more heavy themes on DYKTTATUOB since she did say she wanted to keep the next album simpler. i also hope this would mean we get to see studio versions of “hey blue baby” and “i must be stupid for being so happy”!
if it’s the american classics album that she mentioned a while ago, i hope there are at least a couple new original songs (at least as bonus tracks). listening to all her other covers, she’s not afraid to make a song fit into her aesthetic so i have no doubt that this will still be an interesting album. it’ll be nice to compare with the originals and really see how her artistry reshapes them. plus, it’d give her a good break… i mean the woman’s put out FOUR albums in the LAST FIVE YEARS for crying out loud!! 😤
