I actually think it's a lovely song  I think their voices compliment each other well pretty well. They have similar styles so I can see why Lana would love her <3

It’s a beautiful song. There’s something very “Old Hollywood” about it, almost musical. I don’t know if I’ll revisit the song overtime, but it’s very pretty.

when her next album is a country album about growing up poor with features from Nikki Lane and this Holly girl… then what?

A good Lana controversy usually means something good is in the works 🤞🏻

I think part of the problem is that a lot of people don't realise that one of the differences between being rich and being poor, is that if you're rich, you're always rich, but if you're poor/not rich, then some months you'll have money, and some months you won't have any money, so if you aren't taught how to handle your spending (which unfortunately is extremely common among those lower than upper-middle-class), when you have any money, there's a good chance you're spending it on things/experiences that someone looking on and judging you might assess as being frivolous. Every part of Lana's story checks out if you remember that she grew up in the 80s/90s, not the 1930s (when poor meant you never had anything).

Moments ago, Lana Del Rey joined Nikki Lane onstage for a performance of their duet ‘Breaking Up Slowly’ as she opens for Chris Stapleton at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas.
 

The song is beautiful! The melody of the verses reminds me of a classic Disney princess song, and the chorus melody is lovely as well. The whole song is quite nostalgic in a way. It’s quite fitting for the colder seasons approaching us. I’ve been following Holly’s music since Lana first mentioned her in an interview some years back, and I really like her voice. It’s so unique. It complements Lana’s very nicely x

Over the last few months I’ve been streaming God Turn Me Into a Flower a lot, and it makes me happy to see that there’s a music video for this ethereal track  

I choose to believe her, I mean why else would she have signed that unfavorable contract with 5 Points Records? It is clear from her biography that she needed all the money and that nothing was given to her.

I prefer collabs with unknown artists who have a good voice more than with artists who just have a big name.

lana is so me…if i was a celeb i could see myself posting an instagram video trying to explain myself and then deleting it right after. i understand how on one hand she gives zero fucks about trying to be popular or appealing to people, but on the other hand she hates being misunderstood and gets defensive when people misunderstand her.
