Wtf that was GODLY. The difference between A&W and Tunnel remind me of how different High By The Beach and Honeymoon were when we got those songs out in 2015. This is really her best era since then 

The Vocal mixing gives this mystical vibe. It is like her singing to the deepest realms of my soul.

So I've been thinking about the mixing on A&W and I appreciate it being 'non-standard'. I remember watching this one musician's video on YouTube and he was answering a question about the correct way to mix and the only thing he said was 'there is no such thing, you do whatever feels appropriate, whatever feels right in the moment.' Sure, there are guidelines one tends to follow to make a song sound accessible but there is so much more than just that. I feel like I've been seeing a shift towards more raw sounding recordings, less compressed, having more of a live feel and I love it. Thank you all for coming to my TED talk.

the second half of A&W has so many callbacks... the beat reminds me of the BTD title track beat... the man sound thing reminds me of BTD... the strings that reminds me of NFR title track and BTD title track, the baby voice, jimmy, the overall channeling of 2010-2012 energy, it's like she's taking that version of herself and twisting it on its head, iconic!
