This is the only pre-album cycle that we haven't been given an accompanying music video for any pre-album singles and/or trailer. 
 
Unusual... but given the insider information around a "surprise" that finally does it right by fans, I suspect (and want) it to be something highly visual like a series of music videos or short film

What do you all think the first music video is gonna be? Shocked she hasn't dropped one yet. What if she doesn't do any music videos 😭
 
Also, since she's been getting booked for all these festivals aka returning to the stage, I really hope that means she's gonna drop a headlining tour shortly after the album release! I have yet to see her live, the only time I almost got to see her was The Endless Summer tour with Courtney Love, Courtney was over an hour late to her set, then Lana NEVER came on stage. Biggest heartbreak of my life. Some man announced on the speakers that Lana would not be performing due to dangerous weather and the weather was FINE, not even cloudy. Then immediately, security and venue staff rushed everyone out of the stadium. It was very sus and chaotic...
 

I can see why some people wish the song was grander but I think the album will be big enough that it will make sense why she started it this way, she's going to be all over the map on this album and exploring some really heavy topics so it's really interesting that she starts things off in such a soothing and affirming way. I can't wait to hear how it all comes together

i'm floored...  putting this on a spoiler cause it's personal and i know no one cares but this was my experience listening to "the grants" for the first time today...

I’ve been listening to AKA today over at my moms house to get hyped for the new record and kill kill was playing and my mom sang from the other room “I’m in love with a cross eyed man” first she creates new lyrics to A&W and now this 

"its a beautiful life remember that too for me" is one of those soft reassuring lines like "don't worry baby" in love or "its never too late baby so don't give up" in chemtrails over the country ckub that brings a tear to my eyes as if lana's leaning on my back saying "come on baby you can thrive"

Btw, it’s amazing how, in this TikTok era, there’s a bunch of fans and casual listeners saying the song doesn’t feel like 5 minutes 

I thought the same thing actually, thinking again about it, since it's only meant for Brazilian fans
 
 
OT of the website thing, people on ATRL seem to think boz's little secret is still happening. They're saying "he said this week, not today! so maybe! he's always had tea and he's been right, there is no source because he IS the source!"
like i mean yeah but even a stopped clock is right twice a day, he's had tea but maybe his kettle was cold when he spilled that last week. plus, if the countdown is for the surprise, it'd be too late because he seemed to think we'd know this week. maybe it's the pill container merch? the whistle? but i don't think anyone wants a pill container or a whistle honestly

The Grants is making me sob. The idea of passing on and taking my memories of everyone I love with me is so overwhelming in a beautiful and sad way. I’ve received bad news over the last few months: a friend has brain cancer, my dog is in heart and kidney failure, I’m losing a close friend at work because of layoffs. In addition to hearing the song from my perspective, I am thinking about it from theirs especially when she says “Do you think about heaven? Do you think about me?” I don’t want them to forget me, and then Did you know… comes on and I’m more of a mess. 
This song is really hitting me, and I think it’s her best opening track. 

Okay I’m confused,
is it mine or mind? Obviously makes sense it’s mine and that she’s saying mine, but the intro throws me off Cuz it sounds back and forth lol

i'm almost surprised i've been so into the snippets from the "bops" on this album, i feel like my taste is her very grand, cinematic type songs

Sweet gives me the same warmth/vibe as Violets For Roses and Sweet Carolina

It’s interesting to see her still embrace Americana in her lyrics. Despite all the flack she got early on, she never strayed away from referencing classics in her songs. I like that her songs are still unmistakably LDR songs.
