I think the only "young" or even tumblr thing about UV are the lyrics tbh. In my opinion the UV sound could absolutely still work with newer topics and lyrics. Maybe not with chicken running barefeet but you know what I mean... I just love some electric guitar and it works so well with Lana's voice and style in general.
 
 
In general, if I say I'd like her to work with Dan Auerbach again, I don't mean I want UV 2.0 or I want her to sing about being a sad girl (although she does sing "I'm a lost little girl" in Arcadia, so let's not pretend), I just think they created an absolute masterpiece together and obviously had great chemistry. 
I feel like people who don't always say yes make her more productive or creative or whatever.
 
That's why I'm always praising Dan so much. I don't want them to re-create UV but I'd love it if they created something else, I'm so sure it'd be really amazing.

Seriously tho, the only unreleased I’ve listened to is Hollywood. And I didn’t know it was unreleased at the time lol Not that I’m against listening to leaks per se, but I think she has enough material released not to feel the need to. I personally don’t at the moment.
 
But the thing with this is, she’s clearly asking her fans not to listen to leaked stuff (at least from this era), so I guess if you consider yourself a Lana’s fan, should, at least, not support leakers from now on in any way, and listening to stolen songs is. Same with giving attention to the useless snippets. I believe there’s a difference in the way she’s asking us not to listen to unreleased now, to how she has reacted to leaks in the past (I might be wrong tho). It’s up to everyone anyways, but the moral and ethics are there. 
 
 

i agree with this perspective. i enjoy leaks. some of my favorite lana songs are leaked material. HOWEVER, i dont think its morally right to listen to anything that will be for the upcoming album. if a mistake was made n a song from years ago leaks, we assume its safe to listen to, n then it ends up on an album, i dont think we should feel bad about it. lana is unpredictable so its hard to gage that side of things. BUT if its obviously new material or if someone is able to tell us that its for the upcoming album, i believe its morally wrong to listen to considering the circumstances. its one thing if it leaks a few days before release like things always do but its another if it obviously correlates with the situation at hand. 
 
my take might seem hypocritical but as huge fans of lana, its fun to hear music from her that we otherwise wouldnt have ever known about. i just dont think its right to listen to songs thatre obviously going to be released on the next album.

I'm sure other people can relate to this: it was like for 2 years my family and friends were just vessels for mass media and were constantly just recycling headlines and channeling every manipulative talking point. It was literally like the spongebob movie

I'm just glad I never got jabbed. My intuition told me something wasn't clean in the water. Thankfully, my family and friends all felt the same, so I didn't have to deal with scrutiny from the people closest to me.
