I can't with this caption Her thanking everyone is so sweet but the Pete drama and Tessa Di Pietro took me out lol. She really giving us all the tea
On a serious note her being sick on the day off the show and Pete quitting 37 days before explains alot and then the mic issues. She still delivered an iconic show  and you can tell she put alot of thought into it, her post made realized that the balcony is Kintsugi plss I almost teared up
Anyways I'm so proud of her and it's good too see that she is happy
Love that she wanted her hair to look like the desert, the color is so beautiful and she needs to keep it for the Lasso era, it could fit so well

“Thank you guys. For fucking everything, Jack and John and Billie for showing up for me -and the band for just killing it and spending months in Sylmar in a 40° warehouse to the point but it was so cold that I caught laryngitis that literally left just a few hours before I hit the stage because Tessa DiPietro spent two hours lifting that cough remotely through her body intuitive skills just minutes before showtime, Wally Crowder for my bad as bikes. Every stunning dancer on stage, including my besties and Alex for her beautiful choreography. My stunning three singers who danced and sang their asses off in style and high matching boots.
Emily for stepping up as tour manager when Pete quit for no reason after 15 years because he was butt hurt that I got 10 comped bikes for free from Wally and randomly decided he was more of a stage designer than a tour manager... Never got a phone call probably never will. Still grateful for the 15 years though. No worries – 37 days was more than enough time to put together an entire headlining set all by ourselves. Not stressful at all. Way to go Emily you fucking killed it with grace. Thank you to my managers Ben and Ed for making me laugh the entire way through everything for my whole freaking life even though none of it ever makes any sense. PS please send me an email If you decide to quit this year- 15 years is a long time for us too☺️😝
Molly Dixon❤️ for those dresses, dolce and Gabbana for literally wrapping silk around my body for hours until I became a perfect shimmering swimming pool Etienne and Anna for somehow making my eyes change color on stage with witchy brush strokes of subtle peach make up and light old Hollywood hair, and Tracey Cunningham for changing my hair to the color of the desert like I wanted. And of course, Paul for inviting us.
it was fun. I’ll see you again real soon.”

Courtney used to be cool. I like Hole. I think Celebrity Skin is a brilliant album.
But not anymore. Not after TODAY.

I mean imagine saying that ^ about your friend. That is just plain mean.
Lana once lent Courtney her entire house so she could recover from whatever the fuck addiction she had at that particular time.
    Fuck HER
ETA: also she's just really, really wrong. Even if the Country Roads cover was the worst cover that ever covered, it doesn't negate the artist's entire body of work. She of all people should realise this.
ETA2: also saying Taylor "isn't important" is actual brain rot. Even if you despise her and her music, she absolutely IS important, she literally contributes to a country's actual economy when she tours. Important =/= having to like her music or like her.

I agree, and it's about time. It's not as if men don't experience sadness, loneliness, disappointment, rage, etc. They certainly do and getting in touch with those very common feelings rather than attempting to suppress them will do them a world of good. And men can do that with biologically male artists like Jeff Buckley, Anderson East, or Lord Huron too.

I'm old enough to remember when men as well as women listened to Carly Simon, Fleetwood Mac, Linda Ronstadt, or Heart and bought their records routinely without thinking of it as women's music. And then for Pat Benatar, Madonna, Sheila E., Sade, Joan Jett, etc.

It was towards the end of the 80s and into the early 90s, in the midst of Grunge, that I started hearing rumblings about women's music, which some female artists actually promoted, thus there was Lilith Fair, composed of only female artists. Tori Amos refused to be a part of it on the grounds that she didn't create music for a specific audience or gender.

My advice is just open your ears and spirit and listen, without preconceived notions of what you like or don't like.

I don't think Lana's fanbase is any more depressed than others today.

Lana does not make us depressed with songs like Hope, Yosemite, 13 Beaches, Wildfire Wildflower, or Old Money; these songs free our depression and sadness, frustration,  anger, and occasional hopelessness.

It's a long tradition going back to the birth of rock n' roll, and, before rock n' roll, blues and folk music.

Very few artists from Elvis Presley, Sam Cooke, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Velvet Underground, Marianne Faithfull in her 60s era, Bob Dylan, the Supremes, Smokey Robinson, Tim Buckley, Joaz Baez, Al Green, and Nico to James Taylor, Carole King,  Joni Mitchell, classic Elton John, David Bowie, Queen, the Patti Smith Group, Bruce Springsteen, the Dead Boys, Fleetwood Mac, Kate Bush, the Pretenders, the Clash, Elvis Costello, Lene Lovich, Blondie, early Ultravox, the Police, Red Hot Chili Peppers, R.E.M., Sade, Tina Turner, Tori Amos, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Jeff Buckley, Fiona Apple, Natalie Merchant, Lloyd Cole, Amy Winehouse, Kassidy, Anderson East, 21 Pilots, Lord Huron, Rayland Baxter, Father John Misty, Paul Cauthen, the Ruen Brothers, Billie Eilish, etc. have not sang sad songs.

Sadness and all that comes with it--alienation, frustration, loneliness, anger, jealousy, envy, etc.--is a big part of life. Thousands of people take their lives because of it every year.

Lana's sad songs are meditations on a theme and cathartic and freeing, not the opposite. I don't buy the "Sad Girl Shit" argument, or the "Women's Music" label, which I find incredibly stupid.

Can I just say that idk what it looked like on streaming, but I was there and it was unbelievable. I was in shock the whole time. Lana drove by on the motorcycle literally right in front of me. I feel like I still haven’t processed what I saw??
