Wait wasn't Live to Tell going to be on a covers EP like 5 years ago? I'm surprised it hasn't been leaked already and I'll be just as surprised if she actually drops it.

Sorry but for myself and many others no, it’s disrespectful to repeatedly do this- if she’s having issues attending concerts despite this happening on every date so far then she should issue an apology and delay the start time.
Regarding the vocals- she might have gotten a lot better than the initial bad shows which is great but she’s probably using a strong backing track if she can’t ad-lib 

I can honestly say seeing Sky live was an amazing experience. If you are debating on going, just go. Accept she’s gonna be 1-3 hours late and enjoy yourself.
 
Her live vocals sounded incredible. She obviously tries so hard to make sure her vocals sound exactly like the studio track does (for the NTMT tracks at least). It’s crazy to think about when so many live artists try to show off their voice with ad libs and stuff when singing but Sky is committed to delivering a consistent product for every show (probably why she gets so upset when her tech/earpiece doesn’t work up to her standards).
 
Her stage presence is almost non existent, but just witnessing her sing those songs in the dark behind sunglasses with red and blue lights was an out of body experience. I just want to relive it over and over again.

I was gonna see her on this tour but timing just didn’t happen. girly needs to actually release an album, it’s been a decade 

I have had no interest in her performances since 2016. I want material releases girl.
I'll move when i hear there's a release of a well-recorded live version that's good enough to be studio.

I hate Taylor Swift and wish she'd really mess up so both her crappy music and her annoying cult-like fandom could be squashed in one blow, forever.
 
i also side eyed her bringing Ice Spice on a track after her POS ex talked shit about Ice and said some horribly racist shit. If these are the people she goes out with, its likely not far from who she herself is.

I see when you're coming from and I do believe brainless lyrics and catchy songs aren't exclusive to any genre - but my critique of the lyrics is more from the point that it's entirely lazy and unoriginal, they've just plucked one liners from culturally relevant things and actually I think even if the song was in pop or hip hop style it would get called out for that more. But because it's rocky/folky/indie style people are more accepting of it. 
 
In terms of competition, you're right to an extent there's nothing that's come out in the last year that's had the same sort of vibes, however, they're style is very reminiscent of First Aid Kit a Swedish folk/indie duo although I'm not saying they're directly copying them. 
 
They've also had the music used in advertisements and promos all over TV and social media so that's definitely helped draw in the gen pop. I have no real problems with the music, I do think it's catchy but just kinda lazy. 

I feel like they don't take themselves seriously and that's okay. Everyone expects rock music to have some clever lyrics but it's okay for lyrics to be brainless as long as the music is catchy. That is allowed in pop and hip hop so why do we have so much higher expectations for rock? I feel like they gained a lot of attention because they have no competition, not because their music is that good. I personally like their music. 

My unpopular opinion is that it’s odd how people consider Billie as some kind of vocalist when she never pretends or portrays herself as such but consider Lana a worse singer when she’s clearly much more skilled vocally

this video made me sad asf, i wonder what happened. i’d say the downgrade in popular music started in 2016 but really took off in 2019 then never got better. everything is so empty and meh, even award shows. 

i'm sorry but it's crazy how music has become so, so awful and cringeworthy in the 2020s  
 
 

Merch is pointless honestly, every musician's merch looks shit and low quality imo, total waste of money  The only good looking and creative merch was in Marina's Froot era and Lana's LFL era.
