Y'all are delusional to think Atlantic pressures her to do much when she barely posts on social media, does like one live performance per era, interviews with small websites, with her songs not charting (only her album and for a week) to then allow her to film a whole movie with a 5M budget.
And not get into public legal action regarding how much her material leaks.
 
Her going independent would not be ideal, she is not sociable and has zero to no online persona, so she would struggle to get sponsors, also she would also have to pay an INSANE amount of money to keep her royalties
But sure a bunch of fans would donate their live savings for her to film stuff, after all Cry Babies did pay for the Dollhouse Music video when she was independent, and she does have a LOT more fans now.

i love sky but tbh i've been listening to don't forget for a while and it's not getting any better... it's a cute track, not bad at all, but also not great
i feel like she couldve done much better with the time she had, considering that this tracks has existed for at least 3 years
also this is not some grand mesmerizing song that if you don't like it it's cause you didn't "get it", actually, it is pretty mediocre and doesn't sound new and fresh at all, in fact, i can see thousand of artists doing this and doing it better actually
i've always had this fear that once masochism was finally released it wouldn't feel like the 10 years it took in the making were well used and this track kinda makes me feel like that fear was correct

pitchfork are extremely sloppy, you can tell they’ve done minimal research and just listened to the song once or twice. Honestly a high school drop out would have written a better review it’s very amateur.   

The article was so tacky and disrespectful you can really feel her production credit omission was on purpose. Sue really shit all over the lyrics & vibe while basically saying the production was the only redeeming factor, conveniently leaving out that Sky had anything to do with it. Even more embarrassing that sky was just talking about that in an interview!!! Happened in real time  
 
the song is alright to me personally, i think i’d enjoy it more within the album. I’m still not really gonna let myself feel any excitement for this until the album is here honestly. 

Could she put some of that energy into releasing the album?

Okay, really obscure, but the one streaming service that I find to be respectful of music quality/getting quality masters for songs is Qobuz. If this is something people care about Qobuz is the way. And if you have the hardware (and patience for it) considering in terms of service, it pales next to Spotify.
