In two days, Lana will perform a quickie live set for her fans via the Empire of Lounge youtube channel, similar to the NFR promo she filmed in Jack's studio in October 2018.

r/lanadelrey is no longer a safe space.

I know, I know. You can call me childish for wanting a safe place. Maybe there is no safe place in this dark world, but if you know me then you know that I’m a dreamer. I’m an idealist. I’m a lover.
My life has been so tumultuous and destructive, and r/lanadelrey was truly a safe haven for me to express myself and keep up with all things Lana, with a community of wonderful people who appreciate true ART. My posts were peaceful. My love was full. But now, that subreddit is a cesspool because of the complete infestation of that crook bitch Taylor Swift’s rabid fans.
When the “song” Snow on the Beach was released, we were having so much fun at r/lanadelrey. We made memes that playfully held Taylor Swift accountable because of her cold, calculated betrayal against Lana and Lana’s fans. You see, we Lana fans rise above. We could’ve wallowed in self-pity that we didn’t get a true Lana song, but we had fun with the situation instead by making fun of Taylor Swift. We know that woman needs to be held accountable for her reckless behavior, but us Lana fans are also so much fun and very light-hearted at our core, just like Lana. So, funny memes were everywhere! These memes and comments made me laugh and laugh. They made me totally forget about my disappointment regarding Snow on the Beach. And on a deeper level, these memes attacking Taylor Swift made me forget about my crippling drug addiction and dwindling relationship with my older brother. Like I said, r/lanadelrey was my safe haven. But that woman Taylor Swift and her rabid fans have now ruined the one place i had comfort and peace in my life.
Right now, that subreddit is just pitiful. Lana posted one Instagram story of her and Taylor from some party from like 4 years ago to promote snow on the beach (she had no recent photos as they aren’t friends at all). We all know Lana doesn’t care about Taylor Swift or that song, which she only did as an act of service for AA or something. She called it the “snow ❄️ song” and she didn’t even know the words when a fan started singing it to her on video, trying to get her to sing along. Lana just whispered in the background of the song while trying not to laugh. And that’s okay, we can be proud of Lana for holding firm boundaries with Taylor.
But now, this 4 year old photo is being posted over and over and over again! “TAYLANA TOGETHER OMG!!!” “IM SO GLAD THEYRE FRIENDS!!!” “TAYLANA FOR LIFE!!!” and all that bullshit is crowding r/lanadelrey. And half of the posts now are along the lines of “DAE Think Taylor is super talented and we shouldn’t hate on female artists???” “DAE love Snow on the Beach???” “DAE not like Taylor Swift being cyber bullied???” It’s just not the same r/lanadelrey it used to be. Now it’s just another Taylor sub. And any accountability on this topic is downvoted and removed.
I am sorry for this long rant I just didn’t know what else to do. I feel like this subreddit understands me more than all others at this point. and I am honestly worried about being kicked out of r/lanadelrey at this point. I’m sure a Swiftie is going to grab a moderator role and ban me retroactively because of my history of holding Taylor Swift accountable for her actions. I just wanted to share my thoughts. Have a great day.

my dream would be her performing at small 21+ venues (usually bars with a stage) across California like Weyes Blood last year. Only 4-5 shows, would be perfect for me but unfair to many it’s just a dream I had in mind

Lana is at that stage of her career where she has such a large catalog of music and devoted fans to be allowed take ten steps back from the draining nature of tour life, the toxicity of stalkers/obsessed lunatics out there, and return to places that she feels safe and most comfortable in. Clearly that space is at home with her friends and family. She is a human being set for life and not a machine that needs to pump out videos, tour 24/7 to make a buck. I'm personally super grateful we get new music of such high caliber so often, that everything else falls to the wayside for me.

lana is giving us an 80 min long album less than 2 years after dropping two albums in a year. fuck the tour and fuck the music videos, we’re already blessed.

and regardless of whether insiders know of upcoming music videos, it’s extremely unlikely that she isn’t going to create at least one. she’s had music videos for every single album, there’s no reason why she wouldn’t for tunnel. it can literally just be pretty visuals of the ocean or her singing to the camera. she created some low effort and simple music videos for the past albums, so why wouldn’t she do the same for this one? i don’t get the mv panic especially when it’s only january.

Honestly, I’d rather hear what Lana’s most recent thoughts are in song-form every 14-15 months than have glossy visuals, extravagant tours, and fluff that doesn’t have to do with the music. It’s great if she does those things, but they’re not necessary for me to stay engaged as a fan.

I want to know about her karmic family lineage and all of the deepest, darkest thoughts she’s willing to share! But I don’t need to have Lana serve a look in Gucci on the cover of V Magazine (but again, she’s more than welcome to 💅).

My 6 dogs want to go to bed at 9:00 PM so I’m sleeping by that time and have to wake up at 5:00 AM to take care of them not even a Lana album will fuck up that schedule

Also I'm definitely gonna listen to the album the moment it gets released, usually at midnight I think
I'm hoping so too...this is the only thing they've made a magazine cover for so I think there's a chance it will be a bit more than their other articles

I really hope this is something and not just a quick profile partially lifted from Wikipedia, that includes a quote or two about the album from her typewritten announcement letter. The rest of their articles don't give me hope, but they seem to be hyping this up and after the initial album tease on Hola TV, I'll believe anything.

I’m gonna request that day off, go to the beach (hopefully it’s sunny) and have a boozy picnic. We’ll try to find a taco truck after

If Lana did a HUGE one-off, two-hour-long “secret” show at a lush venue like the Hollywood Bowl with no audience that was professionally recorded and then available to watch publicly…that would be amazing.

It would be a way to get around the pressure of having to go on an extensive tour but would still satisfy the fans’ hunger to have some new concert footage and hear some live renditions of new tracks.

But that said, I know it’s not the same magic as seeing her live live, in-person. The energy cannot be fully captured in video recording. But it’s a compromise, I guess!

I knowwww I think January is just always going to be a long, albeit  dreadful  month. I consider it a little free trial month for the year ahead lol! February will definitely fly by, though - I always feel like I blink and then February’s gone

I wouldn't be surprised if Lana decides to do interviews with small magazines, with how bad the other magazines have been with her.

i really hope that article gives us some new information or is an interview or something but i’m sort of scared it won’t do or be either of those things because it seems like it’s a pretty small magazine, they only have like 6k followers  or maybe lana is actually purposely doing real press with smaller publications this time around because all of the big ones are mean to her and have done her dirty at one point or another in the past

I'm just gonna say it too I think there's something wrong w you if you can see Lana in that vid after getting robbed almost in tears looking so defeated pleading with people to not listen to the leaks and still be hoping that it leaks. I'm gonna be fine dining on the 24th on my 16-course gourmet LDR9 as the chef intended, while many people are writhing in their own saliva on the kitchen floor right now waiting for 96kbps crumbs of LDR9 to fall on the floor and give them E.Coli, tapeworm AND covid
