Lowkey would hate that if that’s true I think it’s going to be less obvious than that, I think it’s going to be more like the HTD sample in Wild at Heart.

Also, was it ever confirmed it was an NFR sample? It doesn’t sound like it’s a sample to me, it just sounds similar.

idk i feel like the sample in taco truck will be super noticeable, otherwise she would’ve just named it Taco Truck and not added the “x VB”

part of me thinks it’ll just be her singing new lyrics ontop of the VB instrumental, like what she’s apparently doing with the syml & riopy samples

i don't think it'll be sooo obvious, like the nfr title track sample on a&w had some sort of distortion, it might be the same for taco truck

wait, I just realized something (this may be another one of my dumbass are you fr moments, but bare with me)
since Taco Truck samples VB, has anyone used aha-music to see what part of VB is sampled
like just gone through VB and recorded it on aha to see if it pops up as taco truck?

and he insinuated that the song has her best lyricism to date, so

BOZ hated blue banisters (album) but he said fingertips is a STUN & it’s on his top 5
    so you win @Fingertips

Sweet Carolina was one of the few slays on Blue Banisters so I wouldn’t necessarily mind However I always thought it was going to be a song about Sean based on the snippet/ lyrics from W magazine so it’s interesting

not sure if anyone else noticed but isn’t she in a hearse in a few of the pics in the new photoshoot? that’s sorta interesting to me…

LDR10 should be called I’m simply not the artist for some of you anymore - if you don’t respect the woman I’ve become then go listen to someone else

ya I am not too big on the family lyrics or random name dropping of people like when shes singing abt Nicki and her chickens or something that is like "specific" to her because it ruins the replayability of a song for me
I can listen to a song like that and appreciate it as a well-written song, but its not something ill listen to over and over because of those specific-to-her lyrics

i just think it’s interesting that people call lana’s more recent writing topics “not relatable” and therefore trash the songs because of it, because personally i don’t relate to songs about snorting coke off the bathroom counter with my 50 year old sugar daddy at the chateau marmont, but i still love born to die

I don't think you meant anything negative by this post, however, I really don't think the argument that she never sang about her family like this until Chemtrails is necessarily valid, and personally, I don't really think that the point makes sense. I have no issue with people not loving familial lyrics. That's totally fine because everyone has their own preferences and tastes, but don't pretend like you're making objective statements based on opinions. Also, when has Lana ever written a lyric like the one you gave an example of? The most she's ever done in the vein is mention Chuck by name in Blue Banisters, which she actually also does in Motel 6 as far as I know. It's nothing new and I really don't understand the weird aversion people have towards Lana's family.

Anyways, back to the album: I personally am really looking forward to the rest of this album's lyrical content. The two songs we've gotten so far are very powerful and strong lyrically. They manage to be this beautiful mix of metaphorical and blunt that just wows me every time. Lana proves time and time again that she is an incredible writer. I'm still not over the writing on the title track honestly. I'm just so excited to read the words to these songs and dissect them

BBS, Wildfire, Sweet Carolina, Old Money, BB are definitely not boring. Even if there's just one liners about her parents or siblings, she has still sung about them, even on unreleased songs. She's always been close with her siblings, and she has a niece (or nephew? idk lol) now so I don't think her singing about her family more is far fetched.

She just gave us a supreme bop with A&W....so I think the record is going to have a good range of subject matter

so since that fingertips snippet leaked does that mean they have the whole song? or just that snippet. because im sure shes way more safe about it leaking now than ever since things have constantly been stolen and leaked from her albums. i didnt think they were using cloud storage anymore, maybe now they use USB drives n stuff

And pays bc they want to. Lana isn’t forcing nobody to buy her songs lol

I'm not against her singing about her family, I think a lot of interesting n introspective stuff can come out of that, but I'm not a fan of her directly naming people from her personal life in her songs. It usually sounds clunky. I guess we'll have to wait and see how those lyrics will sound in the context of the songs.

something that makes me really happy is that i can tell lana loves this album. dancing to her own song, tiktok active, and wearing her merch multiple times. idk. something about this era feels different and fresh and it's super nice to see her enjoying it!
