    tonight Paris time, i’ve only listened to it once but i was pretty high and half asleep for most of it 
     
    not really since Taylor got that whole sound from Lana in the first place

    Ahh I’m glad I’m not the only one! I thought I was being weird. I can’t work it out honestly bc it sounds like she’s describing being around her family mourning their deaths and then there’s that one line that sticks out
     
    also unrelated but the “daddy I miss them” bit at first made me think of Lana being sent to boarding school and telling her dad that she misses her siblings and patty

    The Wait for Life melody sample in Sweet amazed me. That's one of my favourite melodies, and I'm glad she held onto it and gave it a nod in this song. Delicate, sweet, beautiful, a classic Lana ballad track. 
    Now onto the iconic A&W that I've already listened to 120 times this year already, but still hasn't gotten old.. x

    fingertips is genuinely amazing. i do get people for not liking how it sounds but for me it's a track you have to sit and focus on the lyrical content because the topics she tackles are very personal and i never thought she would have the guts to say them in a song and release it. i wish I could hug her for still being this strong after going through everything 🥲🥲

    I started the evening off with a bottle of wine and then listened to the album alone. The best way to go about it imo - my boyfriend laid in bed asleep next to me whilst I sobbed to Sweet and Kintsugi
