I think that Lana is just cringing when she looks back at the Born To Die era (like when she mocked her Million Dollar Man performance in Banisters release's livestream). I don't really think she hates Emile's production that much.
Although what I have noticed that in BTD era performances (like Born To Die's performance in BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge and Radio's performance at The Scala Club), her band used the demo versions of those songs.

Honestly I’m not worried about the next album, she’s always writing. Even though I miss her posts, I’m on the contrary curious about the next era. She’s changing things up. Perhaps the next album will be very different.

Say what you want about the current state of her musical career, but Katy always turns it out during her concerts. I went to one of her shows during the Witness tour and my god the set design, choreography, the colours, the fun vibes, the experience was a sight for the eyes

One of the boys is kinda underrated in my opinion; Hot n Cold, I Kissed a Girl, Waking Up in Vegas, Ur So Gay (the lyrics may be a little controversial nowadays but the production is so good and funny) with some hidden gems like If You Can Afford Me!
Teenage Dream doesnt need much justice cause It already had It, a perfect pop album and era from start to finish who stood the test of time. Also Dressing Up is so good!
Prism is a natural continuation of TD with some songs exploring another genres. I must say even though It isnt her most groundbreaking album (she isnt know for pushing boundries) It is the one I revisit the most. Bop after bop, with some nostalgia in it
Witness is were she lost me, and I think that happened for almost everyone. Don’t think she is worried about it, she is already rich and has settled with a family! The songs she puts out now are fun and not that pretencious, no need to aim for radio play when she has already reached the top! Good for her!

My favorite album has to be Prism: Walking On Air, Spiritual, Dark Horse, This Moment and Double Rainbow are some of my favorite songs of hers and then you have Unconditionally, Birthday, Legendary Lovers, This Is How We Do and By The Grace Of God which are so good too

she did list radiohead as an influence on her myspace in 2006 (look closely)

She sure got back that mysterious vibe she always had in the past. TBH, her HM posts were always « late » for official releases and promo, so it’s not like we’re missing so much with her account closing.
im curious to see what pre-releases eras will be like. Snippets probably won’t be that much of a thing, except if someone in her entourage posts one.
LB and insiders probably will be our main info sources

Perhaps the most divisive topic amongst Lipsters...amongst the world even...Lana's "piano ballads". Some love them, some tolerate them, and some wish to never hear them again. So, what are Lana's best piano songs? What are her worst?
I have chosen songs that are unequivocally true piano songs, but im sure some of you will take liberties and that's OK. These are my favourites and what I believe to be her best, where the piano really makes the song:
• Kintsugi: The definitive Lana piano ballad
• Candy Necklace: Never has a piano sounded better in a Lana song than on Candy Necklace
• Is This Happiness
• Paris, Texas
• How to disappear (piano version): The superior version
• Cherry Blossom:
Honourable Mention:
• Beautiful People (demo): I think that this song would also sound great with other instrumentation instead of piano, but I needed to shout her out because she is still one of the best piano songs
Finally, I don't believe Lana has any bad piano songs, so I won't be doing a "worst" list 💋

Ultra Violet liked a post in a topic by Embach in "Lust for Life" Album Recording/Writing Timeline and Creative Process Discussion
I don't know if any of you have discussed that but like 4 years ago I saw some people talking about it on YouTube that Lana sampled Princess Chelsea's No Church On Sunday in Heroin! (it's kind of a subtle sample like how she sampled The Beatles in West Coast)
And I listened to the album where No Church On Sunday is from, called The Great Cybernetic Depression (released in 2015) and the album's songs have the same spacey cosmic electronic ambient vibes as the so-called "original concept of Lust For Life", similar to the songs like Heroin, Lust For Life demo, If I Die Young (I know that it's a Honeymoon outtake).
Although The Great Cybernetic Depression is a lot more quirkier (it's kinda like if early era Marina Diamandis made the original concept of LFL herself or something like that). But I can see that Lana was definitely inspired from that album when she sampled for Heroin!
Also I have read some theories on No Church On Sunday song, that it talks about her brother's drug overdose (although I don't think so because I think that it's a misheard lyric), but it would connect this song and Heroin a lot more.

I remember something he commented that under a post? Idk lemme check out wikia
Edit: yeah it's my bad, I think it wasn't confirmed from which year it was from, I just confused it because I'm dumb although there's a Marshmello remix or a mashup of Summertime Sadness from 2017 though
