in an effort to rid myself of boredom, im creating a thread to torture us all x
just think back to her extensive released and unreleased discography and compile a 30+ minute playlist to resemble an album's tracklist.
and make it a chronological storytelling too as an extra bit of torture of having to sit through its play through x
kisses
edit: you can include demos, instrumentals, fan edits, etc.

I feel like it should be way shorter.
1. Love
2. Lust for Life
3. Cherry
4. Summer Bummer
5. Groupie Love
6. The Next Best American Record
7. Heroin (without ugly moaning. Actually just make it a cute 4 min song)
8. Change
9. Roses Bloom For You
10. Get Free
I think I would listen to this in full more than once in two years.

Maybe the wait was a way to promote this underrated bop all along:

No it's true. I listened to UV from start to finish the other week for the first time in a moment—it still hits hard.

Not the best quality but this is the album cover I use for UV (not my scraps but the general album)
I remember that red being the style of promo she was using at the time and was so disappointed when it wasn't incorporated into the cover art. Someone on this forum made it for me, I can't remember who, but even 7 years later I still use it

Also, maybe I was misinformed but I thought the leaked versions of Wild One were for Paradise, not Ultraviolence?

You also take pictures and you gave me one
Of a nun who was playing the drums
She was crazy, her name was Katie
I think you're so fun
Same song
You don't think I'm that strange, you're so weird
That's cause you're so queer
But who's not these days?
You wear purple socks and you still like Purple Haze

I did a sign language interpretation to this song for my class and it was literally so beautiful through ASL. There is so much vivid imagery in the song so it's pretty easy to present through ASL storytelling.

The entirety of Bel Air has some of my favorite lana lyrics ever
"Walk in the way of my soft resurrection"
"Lead me to war with your brilliant direction"
"Sweet child of mine, you're divine
Didn't anyone ever tell you it's okay to shine?"
And the whole chorus. The song paints such a beautiful picture and I absolutely adore it

If I get a little prettier, can I be your baby?
so resonant, that feeling of not being enough, not loving yourself enough to believe that anyone could really want you.

Like all the lines in Life is Beautiful, I tried to sing it but thought of dad at the same time and I ended up crying instead lol. The whole song just has this feeling of denial, you know, this can't be true, I don't want to admit it's true and you really want the person to come back to you. Ugh <3
But especially these lines:
God wouldn't do that
He knows how I feel
I can't go through that
And so, it's not real
Life is still so beautiful
[...]
I don't believe this is the end
And I still feel your heart's desire

Oh say can you see
My stars
The night time is almost ours
To wander through alleys
And look at the bars
Nighttime is almost ours
The headlights from passing cars
They illuminate my face and
Leave me the dark
The voice of Nirvana says
"Come as you are"
And I will
Nighttime is almost ours - Oh Say Can You See
There are violets in your eyes
There are guns that blaze around you
There are roses in between my thighs
And a fire that surrounds you
It's no wonder every man in town
Had neither fought nor found you
Everything you do is elusive
To even your honey dew - Honeymoon
In the name of higher consciousness
I let the best man I knew go
'Cause it's nice to love and be loved
But it's better to know all you can know
I said it's nice to love and be loved
But I'd rather know what God knows - Pawn Shop Blues

There entirety of 'Get Free', but especially that part:
There's no more chasing rainbows
And hoping for an end to them
Their arches are illusions
Solid at first glance
But then you try to touch them
There's nothing to hold on to
The colors used to lure you in
And put you in a trance
