The outro to Cinnamon Girl is really mastered for the streaming platforms, I think.

My first listen was with the leak from the CD rip and it sounded all over the place, but it’s perfectly balanced on Apple Music / iTunes. What a great fucking song!

there’s nothing wrong with the mixing, half of you guys can’t even mix or produce music lmao. it’s never going to be perfect but i mean it’s auite consistently fine across the board.

You don’t have to produce music to determinate those details.

really adore this album but I don't really understand the concept of the booklet .. why are there only some parts of the lyrics and the rest is just listed on the back? *confused*

I'm pretty sure the non-perfect mixing is intentional, to make the album more raw and organic

I was thinking the same thing. It bothers me a little bit but I still adore the album.

what details? i feel like it’s only ever LB that seem to complain about dumb stuff like this. sometimes things that don’t sound conventional are done for effect (IE. heroin - white noise). jack’s allowed to have artistic licsence as a producer. i think this album is a lot more liberal in terms of production and style compared to LDR’s previous work.

‘California’ and ‘Bartender’ benefit the most from finally hearing them in HQ. ‘California’ sounds remarkably better.

I really like what they did with HTD. The new arrangement, production and guitar solo make the song for me. Also, she sings it less mawkishly.

The title track musical arrangement, and especially the strings, seem influenced by the overall production of Joni Mitchell’s classic ‘Court & Spark’ of 1974.

TNBAR still sounds clumsy and ‘clearly from another project.’ It has that same muffled, foggy sound that several songs on LFL had, as if it were recorded with a pillow over the mic. WHY they didn’t completely re-record it, with all their money, I will never understand.

For me, the highlights are TG, ‘California,’ ‘Bartender,’ ‘CG,’ MAC and VB.

I still can’t appreciate HIAB. It still sounds like three different songs mashed together. Maybe one day.
