As far as I know the Colbert Show isn't live and there isn't even an audience rn... So Lana could record her performance as many times as she wants. Maybe this convinced her.

i really can't wait for this record anymore. I'm so damn excited for the inevitable tears I'll shed when i hear every song for the first time. thank u lana for the lack of snippets, etc. because i absolutely love hearing an album that's 100% new. I'm so excited to see what sound she went for but im most excited to see what lyrics she puts on the album. i really want to know how she's progressed as a writer in the past few months. so damn excited for Chemtrails

As far as the Colbert topic, again, I’m going to be cautiously optimistic. 
 

•She recently followed the show on Social Media.

 

•Colbert praises her in an interview over the summer. It really seemed like she resonated w him. 

 

•Byron is alluding to some involvement with the show. 

•Show is prerecorded, not live. Def think that would be more appealing to her. 
 

These could be coincidences as someone said Byron plays for Alicia and she is set to release Sept 18th.
 

I’m not going to get my hopes way up over it but I have a feeling the stars might be aligning for this to actually be a thing.  

 

Either way we know the album is for sure coming. I can feel it in the air, it is palpable. I def think once things start dropping it will go very quickly. We will be inundated with it lol! I can see it all happening by the end of the month or very early next month. I’m still currently sitting on this month because Interview didn’t change their digital upload byline. Regardless so fucking excited!

I believe they did but could the photo be old and he’s just now teasing because the episode he was involved in is closer to release. Is there a way to tell the date a photo was taken from an insta story? I’m not good with that stuff like a lot of you guys are lol.

Just the thought of her being on another US show that’s typically live (or similar to SNL) feels like a real full circle moment.  Like the culmination of everything she’s built up since people tried to tear her down when she first came out. I could def see her using it as an opportunity to express that further in addition to her insta posts and the interview with Jack. I think it could be like a really cathartic moment for her and a great moment for us as fans too. 
 

I may be feeling too deeply about it but that’s kind of the vibe I get around it.

I think the odds are against us regarding Byron’s post. When was the last time Lana performed on a late night talk show in the US? It’s not her thing.

 

On the other hand.. we know he performs with Alicia Keys, who is releasing Sep 18 and always, consistently performs on late night shows.

 

To me it seems clear that he’s performing with Alicia but I will be pleasantly surprised if I am wrong!!!

So maybe lmlylaw is not the lead single at all but more like an invitation into what she has been thinking, feeling, and wanting to express w this record. 
 

I’ve always thought lmlylaw was more a buzz track that she wanted to put out there cause it was special to her. Something like this would be the perfect platform for that. 

 

Chemtrails will most likely be the lead then which is why it’s getting the high budget treatment.
