The title track really aged like fine wine

Agree, it was hard for me to hear it properly when the album came out cuz I’d already played it so much, but now I can hear it again as a stand-alone and damn it’s good :hooker:

We took Jack for granted.

Astonishingly beautiful production and masterful playing, who else but Del Rey's best collaborator, J. Antonoff? :gclap:

Confounding, canceled, and always coquettish, Lana Del Rey managed to drop an album that can stand up to the best of her career while even long-term fans were rolling their eyes at her endless social media gaffes and tone-deaf “rebuttals.” But maybe Lana does best when she’s under pressure, managing to turn in the breezy and beautiful Chemtrails Over The Country Club despite all the noise. With the finest take on folk-pop since music critics started scorning the Laurel Canyon vibes, Del Rey comes out on top again. It’s not a statement record like Norman F*cking Rockwell but a gentle, whispering one, the kind Jackson Browne and her own beloved Joni used to deliver. – C.W.

Yall I just realized something. Remember when Lana went live with Jack and sang parts of Bird World? the NFR demo? She said "We should do something with that"

well, she did... sort of. she used part of the lyrics for the chorus of Dark But Just A Game

listen to the video around 8:15

it went from

"You keep changing all the time, can't change your goddamn mind" --->>   "We keep changing all the time, the best ones lost their minds"

How would he know what her team advises her to do... I thought he just had access to a database like every other leaker.

Anyways. I guess that's good advice image wise but I think dropping an album with zero interaction with her fanbase will result in terrible sales. But I doubt she cares about sales anymore judging by the Chemtrails rollout.

But Chemtrails was extremely successful in sales. The roll out was messy, but she lived rent-free in everybody's head

I wouldn't say extremely successful... it did well, especially considering the type of album it is, the bad press and the absolute zero promotion. It isn't doing that well in streaming either; it's barely hitting 300 million streams in Spotify and YouTube combined. It'll do fine long-term, but I'd say this is another Honeymoon, except Honeymoon was released in a better sales climate + HM had a viral hit that even charted on the Hot 100

Vinyl sales were a record, she outsold the complete top 10 in uk and the album has 600-700k streams every day, it was critically acclaimed, had promo on Jimmy Fallon and those chemtrails in LA, why does it need a hit and god I cant discuss this again :slayty:
