Glad Buddy’s Rendezvous got officially released today: it’s what I needed, after the Rob-might-be-trolling-us gate.

Did we ever consider Ben said new music soon was in reference to Buddy’s Rendezvous…. I hope I’m just over thinking

Im feeling dark, contemplative vibes. Maybe more sharp with heavier beats as opposed to hazy and dreamy, but not necessarily rock n roll. Maybe some bluesy/jazzy tunes with some rock influences here and there. New york glamour, cigarette comeback ice queen coming to get her revenge. Yas

I'm dying to see the album photoshoot. I wonder if it will be similar to the W Magazine pics.

Do artists usually have some kind of input on magazine photoshoots (like the general vibe of it) or is it all on the photographer/creative director to pick the concept or vision they want for the shoot?

Like the BTD and UV era magazines all had somewhat of a cohesive image with the album's theme but others are mostly random.

I guess it also depends on the type of publication. Fashion magazines would focus more on well, fashion :hide: trying to showcase particular collections or designers

Not really they don’t even get to choose which pictures will be used unless they are a planetary mega superstar. I could see her give some input for like Interview mag since she’s besties with the editor in chief but otherwise i’d say no.

feeling like the other woman…change of old routine you know, never has his love to keep emotional mess

kinda falling for him too…….

anyways need new Lana to keep my emotions at bay or to escalate them

manifesting icy beach waves and another black and white music video a la w magazine with her on the east coast reminiscing about simpler times before the men of the music industry conference……

also really manifest ANGRY vocals, she seems so inspired

What I don't quite get about Lana is that coming up with album art concepts and executing them with a good photographer is not that difficult, and yet we get...the COCC cover, and, for me, the LFL cover art was poorly done, with the obviously fake daisies, which were evenly spaced in her hair, and the vapid interior photographs. I know there are a great deal of fans of the NFR! album art, but for me, it was another bust.

I don't know if she's taking bad advice or if visuals are not one of her strengths, but I've been frequently disappointed with her choices. So I don't expect interesting or well-executed album art from Lana anymore, on any project, not just LDR9, and certainly not anything really eye-catching or, to use an overused word, "iconic."

What makes this seem doubly odd to me is all the hundreds of excellent photos taken of Lana, and how those, and the idea of them, somehow hasn't translated to the artwork on several of her albums.
