I think interestingly it was only the really hardcore fans that were critical of the era before the album dropped, myself included and honestly yeah I am still very disappointed with the project. But once the album came out and it got more buzz, playlisting, the possibility of a number 1 debut, decent reviews, etc. the typical main pop girl type of excitement and hype, I think a wider audience tuned in and some stans are genuinely happy for her (myself included). I also think saving songs like Lightening, Crash, and Constant Repeat (although the latter imo is quite undertake but definitely melodically much more on par quality wise of her previous releases) for the album release was smart move because it sort of allowed for some "resolution" of sorts for disappointed stans who missed the more edgy Charli. 1 minute ago, the ocean said: the song itself is fine but compared to the rest of the album (even beg for you) it sounds like an overproduced pop sucker outtake Not sure if you're familiar with Alaska Reid (AG Cook's girlfriend whom he produces for) but imo it sounds like a leftover from one of her projects 3 Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
