I guess you think the Commonwealth (or the "current british monarchy" -that isnt the same political institution that has stand for centuries either, it seems-)  has nothing to do with what the British empire was, therefore there's no historical continuity from one to the other, nor they represent the same national oligarchies interests. There's a lot of scientifical studies regarding the relationships between former empires and formes colonies, and I can guarant you that they are still everything but symmetrical or based on solidarity, but all the opposite. 
 
I get that this isnt a topic which all of us know deeply about (and it shouldnt be either, as we all come from different academic/professional fields and thats amazing and makes the dialogue always rich and enjoyable), but if you arent aware about the particularities of the topic you are talking about (which you definetly arent, and thats absolutely allright with it), try not to come off as superior to anyone here at least.

a certain user here spent the whole of yesterday on another forum excusing prince philip’s multiple racist comments, so i wouldn’t bother arguing. the people who aren’t bootlickers know the true motives behind the royal family.

love BB but would still really appreciate one single comprehensive interview about this album bc i still don't quite "get" the story of the album re including older songs.
 
i love the older songs, glad they're on the record, think it all makes sense sonically, but storytelling-wise i have a hard time following the "what it was like then/what it's like now" plot that she described on IG awhile ago (esp bc its not like the older songs come first and lead into the newer ones or vice versa). and just generally would be so interested to hear more about how she puts together her albums, chooses songs etc! her mind truly is eccentric af and i love hearing artists discuss their process– and the process for putting BB together must have been so interesting!

imma need her to come back to new york i'm getting tired of california, beaches and landscapes, gimme bricks, nightlife and pollution!

interesting! i never really saw it as that but i like that. i think the romantic aspect of this song is actually what confuses me the most about it. all the stuff about drug abuse, moving away to escape ur demons, etc etc all adds up for me but the romantic elements i've really struggled to interpret. i think you're right though, and i think the idea is that the love is the simple part - all that other stuff, the struggle, the depression, the drugs... that's the hard bit. still, she makes it seem like she's struggling to both give and receive this love. thanks for sharing 

Lana shouldn't release album at least to Spring 2023. She should rest and back with something fresh and innovative. Lana must get new ideas and release something what she never done. Less piano and acoustic, more craziness. Leave mid-rural USA, back to New York, travel to Florida clubs and visit Osaka/Tokyo queen. 

i don’t think it’s an unpopular opinion but she NEEDS to come up with something new lyrical wise. i love every mention of the color blue, about her being crazy and wild, her candles in the wind and her missing her old life but after the past 3 albums it’s gotten a bit stale and repetitive. can she PLS come up with something new, new topics, new thoughts. damn it girl give us a concept album, a musical in album form, a story from A to Z idk something new and different. same for the production, i LOVE bb it’s one my fav albums in a long time but we need more variety. the piano and muffled drums were great but i need her to do something spicy, exciting and most importantly unexpected 
 like we’re talking about the woman who created her own genre, who blended orchestral music with hip-hop and trap beats, do something BOLD…
