i feel the same way, she's going through a break-up, possibly ending her ENGAGEMENT and people are taking it as something funny or a joke when it's really not... i know we will all feel differently about it, and we probably won't feel the same way about it like lana, but i don't feel like anyone is being empathic or compassionate about it, we wouldn't act this way with a friend, why should we do it with lana? i personally want the best for her, and of course, we don't really know what happened and maybe the relationship wasn't working out, but i geniunely want the best for her

A friend texted me that about an hour ago while he was listening to the Outlaw Country station on Sirius XM, the host was talking about Lana & Nikki's duet. They play Nikki a lot on their station, and the host said she's looking into adding Breaking Up Slowly to their rotation. Very cool that this song may get some radio traction on country stations! x

Thank youuuu I've missed you as well!! Literally every song from COCC is in my on a loop playlist on Spotify cause I CANNOT stop listening to it lol, my favourites are Breaking Up Slowly, Tulsa Jesus Freak, and then it's soooo hard to choose! And Yosemite WHEW!! I prefer COCC as a whole but I love certain songs from NFR much more than the ones on COCC if that makes sense  Thanks again, I really wanna do a concept for COCC tbh, my disappointment when I saw the cover...

I was surprised to learn this too! A few months ago, I came across an old article about Nikki from 2014 and I saw that Chuck was actually credited as the photographer for the All Or Nothin’ promo photo used in it so I guess from there, she and Lana connected with each other - so funny how life works out like that!

While driving today, I had the album on and I ended up going a little bit out of the city and while on the road, had a literal country club on my right and to my left, some farmland with yellowed grass and I thought that that imagery was so on the nose for this album. It was perfect 

Every album since Paradise has had fans saying it's her farewell.
