Poor Nikki Lane - you guys leverage her existence against each other constantly  the poor woman released one song with her friend Lana Del Rey and you guys act like that was the harbinger of future “ruined” albums ?

She creates most hunting and beautiful melodies  “you’ll need a miracle, america”!!!! The way she sings “findin’ my way to ya” … I mean whole Arcadia.
 
these melodies are timeless!!! No one in this industry today can do it like her! Period! 

I don’t think Lana has any problem with NFR, when it got released, it seemed to be the album she was the most proud of and one of her most introspective ones at the time, with how much of her "daily life" was in it. The songwriting was different from her past works such as UV or HM because she was in a different place in her life, and had grown up and matured a lot. But I think that with the amazing reception the album got, Lana might have thought she was finally loved by the general public as a person, when in fact, what people loved was the album, not necessarily her. The general public never really liked her as a person. QFTC is what made her realise people loved her music, but still weren’t on the same boat as her. Chemtrails was her telling how she misses a life without fame and how much of a burden it can be, and also how important her family is to her when times get rough. And now with BB she’s about to tell the whole story. NFR was a statement, it’s where she was back then and where she probably still is in terms of her everyday life, but with Chemtrails and BB, we’re getting a larger picture of her past too, and the damage that the public not liking her as a person has brought.

Let people dream, how did you dare to do that to her?

this!!! it's hard to explain what it is that actually changed from Chemtrails to here but this era is just very much alive. the charm and magic are back, like you said

Thinking about how Ultraviolence was about Barrie and how down she was during that era, I mean like that album isn’t the most cherry thing lol

I've been listening to Lana's music since 2012 and i can definitely say she still has kept the same charm and magic (as some other users above said), plus her lyricism has improved A LOT in the past years and the few tracks we currently have off of BB encapsulate that so well I'm so excited for this album and the rest of the tracks

I've come to the conclusion that the reason why Dealer hasn't leaked in HQ, it's because nobody has it. They only have the old demo, same as the other songs (the ones Lana submitted way back) 
In my mind, Dealer is solo (that's why Miles isn't credited) and the other songs were reworked. That's how my fantasy works and I've made peace with it. 
 
And even if they weren't reworked, I'll rework them myself

Just listened to Text Book, Blue Banisters, Arcadia and Wildflower Wildfire and..I feel so sorry and sad for those of you who just dismiss these as snooze-fest piano ballads 
 
They are sublime.

On a side note I wonder what it was like for Lana and Barrie to reconnect after all these years. To re-connect with someone that had such an impact on your creative process and world view. Especially when you’ve had the time they had to grow apart and settle into your own musically and as a person..
Anyways, I’m glad it seems like they’re on amicable terms and have both seem to have found happiness in one way or another.
