Correct. Lana is, from the record company's viewpoint, an extremely low maintenance artist. She has her own momentum, and her own audience who will buy whatever she puts out, and the label barely even has to spend a cent on advertising it. They don't care about the controversies or the fashions or the twitter wars. She has an audience of people who enjoy handing over hard cash for product. A million retweets of a tik tok video isn't worth a thing to labels if it doesn't translate to cash changing hands. Individual fans, and the hashtag hordes, like to think that they have the power, but money is still the anthem of success.

It‘s probably not that deep, but maybe she wants to find a way out of the „pop business machine“. She has complained multiple times how the critics praised NFR, but that they weren‘t actually writing about the music itself. By using a selfie, she makes sure to not distract from the music- especially because people tend to focus on her „persona“ and the times she has been „problematic“.
 
And if I was writing music as fast as her, I guess I would be tired of all the photoshootings too.
 
 

That we are getting two albums doesn't seem that unrealistic at this point. 
Maybe RCS is produced by Zach and Dealer will be on it and BB is produced by Mike Dean

If we get a studio version of Yes to heaven, Fine China, Cherry Blossom and Roses bloom for you, I will never complain about her again. 

That pic is tragic in any possible way. She looks sunburnt and the angle is bad. I mean, picking a selfie for a studio album should be forbidden. And to get things worse when it’s a selfie from COCC era with the same hair shown in the video.
 
I want to convince myself this is not the cover and she hasn’t lost her mind. Let’s wait until album pre-order.

Lana is a Rite of Passage artist for teen girls and gays so she'll always be profitable

These days, having 10,000 fans who buy multiple formats of your new record, consistently, as well as buy merch, etc, is worth more than having 10,000,000 fans who only stream your music (and Lana also has that).

She has legend status. She will keep attracting new fans every generation because her music is timeless. Seeing youngsters on TikTok bopping to her only proves this theory

not us potentially getting 3 albums in a year and then still hoping for a 4th later in the year we are so spoilt 

I kinda don't understand why she didn't delete the RCS post when she uploaded the original Blue Banisters post on her instagram. If it were a title change wouldn't she have deleted the RCS post? I know Lana isn't clear about things, but she does tend to delete things when they are no longer necessary, it's just strange that she kept them both up. I'm scared to say it, but maybe we really are getting two albums?  

COCC I'm sure was very profitable. Especially in Europe. US too. 78k copies is no joke. 
 
Compared to Katy with 58k? Dua with 55k.
 
And honestly. BTD sold 250k+ worldwide in 2021 alone.

BB must be upbeat though. For her to get GP attention again. Most of her fans are old fans.
I'm confused when Joan mentioned the average age in a Lana concert is 14... intact they're mostly 20+? I dont see Gen Z getting into Nfr or COCC. It's too slow for them.

With this said, that LDR Village thing could last over several eras easily or even up to 10 years. It's a brilliant store that i dont see many people do anymore-- it's unique in 2021

i would say they have a pretty good relationship.. while I’m sure things go on behind the scenes (like when NFR was done in early ‘19 but she had no idea when it would be released) they seem to give her a lot of freedom that I’m sure other artists don’t have. Lana outsold the top 10 the week COTCC came out, and NFR did very good too. Plus her fans are very devoted and spend mad money on merch (like for me LDR Village is grossly overcharged, but fans still support her)
 
 I’m sure things go on behind the scenes that will delay BB (promo, other artists), but I also think they’ll let her release relatively soon because they know her fans will gladly spend the money for her again

Album cover aside, I can pretty confidently say she's heading exactly where she needs to be artistically with this album. I think NFR-COTCC-BB will really cement her legacy as one of the greatest songwriters of our generation. I feel like this album will also continue her artistic maturation. I'm so glad nothing we've heard so far sounds like BTD. I'm 9 years older than when BTD dropped, and I feel like her music (sonically/lyrically) has grown with me. Super pumped for this album. If NFR is late summer/early fall, COTCC is late fall/early winter, I hope BB is going to be late spring/summer.

I still think the MV was made with the new album in mind. Why would she scrap a MV for Chemtrails (album) to then go and film one for White Dress (with a broken arm)? I guess we'll see if she lipsyncs on the video and it makes sense with the lyrics or not.

I agree Jack is versatile. I just want her to try something new now...he can still do a few tracks, he’s produced some of the best of her career, but i want her to experiment more.

on Mike Deans Spotify About Page, it says
