And we don't actually know what goes on in Lana's head, so to claim there is really no deeper meaning to her music (when she claims there is most of the time) is presumptuous and unnecessary. Lana studied meta physics and this is a thread combining her imagery and lyricism to her creationist theories. I also don't see why I'm acting entitled since I don't post here in this thread, but I find interest in it. You act like someone forced you to make that comment for no particular reason. And if you haven't noticed we have 150+ page thread speculating about someone's love life.

The real conspiracy that is the most mind boggling though is why does Lana not release her unreleased songs and demos which are always far superior to the final versions she puts on her official albums. It does not make sense. Thank God for leaks that we get to have a peak behind closed doors where Lana cooks up the greatest melodies known to mankind.

Well I've heard this people have complete control of EVERYTHING, including the radio and television. Does this mean every artist has to join this people? Probably. That's the price for fame, I truly feel sorry too for the musicians who just want to share their art with the world, but they aren't allowed to, cause things are so different from before, it's not about sharing your feelings or making other people feel good, it's about selling records, becoming rich, popular. Money, money, money. Different, innovative, creative artists are sometimes ignored and only the untalented, good looking people get promoted, because they bring more money. Just look at reality shows and see how a good job they're doing controlling us, everyone wants to be famous, for no reason at all, they just want to be, so they go into these shows (X factor *cough* *cough*) and suddenly do become popular, and after being controlled into making certain type of music, because thats what sells, and not the music YOU WANT TO DO, you get more and more surrounded by fake people who drive you into excessive use of drugs or alcohol, and then you're fucked. If don't let them control you, you are chased, bombarded with big pay-checks that end up killing you so there's no good ending to this, unless you actually enjoy making maintream music with absolutely no meaning at all, then GOOD FOR YOU, the music business is perfect for you.

Are you kidding me? Lana is part of of the Illuminati because she can sing, write and got famous from it? Dude, that is just a facet of reality.

I had downloaded this fan-made album from Tumblr not too long after the release of UV and this and Flipside were on it, along with leaks that happened between BTD and UV. So I always thought this and FS were unreleased for the longest time lmfao

It could still be "I've got my Dad"... It's not necessarily a sugardaddy reference, she could just be saying she has her father on her side.

I think Lana was sincere about releasing this. I think it just turned into a bigger project than she thought it would be (kind of like the Violet audiobook). I don't mind waiting indefinitely because I know whatever the final product is will be glorious, and we will play it on our turntables until we are grey and old, and our grandchildren or the neighbors are begging us to turn off that noise. But we won't turn it off. American Standards and Classics will outplay our lives. Praise Godna

i never thought i'd feel hot and iconic doing everyday household chores or making my bed.... but here we are. lana truly has made washing my hair and doing the laundry iconic again 
 
we suspect its a body double because of someone she follows (? there's more specifics on that on this thread i think around the time she posted the photo teasers), they don't look like they're wearing a cast, it doesn't look exactly like lana. so we don't know for sure but people have basically concluded its a body double and lana might be in different shots not skating. she fractured her arm after all

apart from the reasons already discussed this era is very inspired by david lynch. not only does it deal with some of the themes he does (specially the paranoia that lies behind the friendly façade of american suburbia) as she's showcasing highways and getting inspired by the wizard of oz just like he did in his movie wild at heart, which is literally the title for one of the tracks involved. this same trend of extrapolating americana can be found on john waters' work, so it's safe to say the project is still informed by both of these directors even if they're not directly involved.

I..can't even add to this. Such insight. Especially in your mention of individual actions being well intentioned (now in the class this was directly applied to the German population that stood by during the holocaust, a multifaceted argument full of grey circumstances in its own right) but I do believe alot of Lana's hurt has come from people who didn't set out to be villains,and that's why we relate so much (dear God let no one interpret this as me comparing a woman's personal plight to the suffering of millions of innocent souls, cus that's not what I mean!!)
 
As we all grow older with her, the scorn of the moment has turned to the bittersweet nostalgia of yesterday. A chance not to look at your past with rose colored glasses, but a reverence of understanding and longing-maybe to do it right in your head, maybe just to say goodbye to it, but regardless- she is one of the best at taking a moment, and holding it in a light that transcends each form of time, past, present, and future. To serenade something not yet broken, yet shattered ages ago. This is why we love her.
