The think pieces about Taylor are embarrassing. This is not the first time Lana lost multiple Grammy nominations in one night. It's not Taylor's fault. Let's be real, Lana had little chance of winning ROTY & SOTY with such tough competition with Flowers, SOS, and Midnights all being commercial smashes. Her best bets were the Alternative nominations, but she lost those too. It's sad, but we can't place blame on Taylor. Lana is a grown woman, if she didn't really want to get on stage, she wouldn't have. She was probably supporting her friend. Lana knows very well she is an underdog even though I'm sure she really would like a win.

But some of y'all are the same people who tried to convince yourselves Lana lowkey doesn't like Taylor so.....whatever I guess.

I agree that it's a weird relationship. On paper, it makes total sense, but there are also somewhat stark contrasts of each other.

But you're right, Taylor is a good ally to Lana and has used her platform to shout her out multiple times, so why are Lana fans getting online being petty and annoying about her losing nominations when the Grammys have always snubbed her?

I want to take this moment to say that Blue Jeans is still so breathtaking to me. It's one of Lana's best songs ever and it will remain that way forever. I don't know what possessed her to come up with such incredible and timeless melodies; every word fits perfectly and her delivery is so cathartic. I have always loved the guitar plucking, the fast trip hop beat and the tragic strings. And again, her vocal delivery is insane. If I had to choose one song from this era that still sounds like the first time, it's Blue Jeans.

LDRX is a secret agent. Traveling around the world.
    Changing identities. Fighting for freedom.
    Bringing light to dark places.
She is a dancer. A professor. A head of state. A housekeeper.
An equestrian. A prisoner. A student. A mother. A child.
    A teacher. A nun. A singer. A saint. A whore.

  25. The Siren liked a post in a topic by HeyBlueBaby in Lana signs publishing deal with Universal Music Publishing Group
    Quick searching I did:

While the record deal establishes ownership of and royalties paid on the recordings made by an artist for a record label, the publishing deal is all about exploiting the copyright in the songs themselves (ie, melodies and lyrics), and ensuring that the songwriter gets paid whenever they’re played on the radio, online or live in front of an audience.
There are hundreds of publishing companies operating in the global music industry, spearheaded by the heavyweight likes of Kobalt, BMG and Warner/Chappell. No matter how big or small any given publisher is, though, they all serve the same purpose: maximising the income generated by their artists’ songs. As well as doing everything they can to get the original recordings of those songs licensed for public play as often as possible, this also means convincing other musicians to record and release cover versions of them, thereby multiplying the revenue stream.

Someone who has more knowledge can confirm but I don't think this impacts anything really? Hopefully the group she is with now is good and can maybe get some more exposure for her.
