Black Bathing Suit: Boz said that it's fun to see how excited people are for this track; he'll stay quiet because we have to look forward to something until the album's release. @lustforlife said that the track is an "invite" and will surprise us a lot. Make of it what you will.
If You Lie Down With Me: -
Beautiful: according to lustforlife, it has surf rock influences.
Violets for Roses: according to lustforlife, it's about a toxic relationship, breaking up and healing.
Sweet Carolina: again, according to lustforlife, it's a very emotional track, a personal favourite on the album and an even better closer than hope is dangerous thing...).

i cannot stop listening to arcadia. so beautiful how does she do it... "All roads that lead to you as integral to me as arteries"  the way she sings "I'm a lost little girl finding my way to ya"

I kinda see these colours in the songs:
Text Book - violet, lilac. Blue Banisters - blue, gray, green (for obvious it may seem ) Arcadia - light yellow, light green The Trio - Interlude - brown Black Bathing Suit - it gives me yellow and light blue vibes. If You Lie Down with Me - gives me gray vibes, I don't know why. Like, very Ultraviolence cover, like if they are laying down together in the same yard they took the album cover for UV. Beautiful - gives light pink, lilac Violets for Roses - gives purple, blue Dealer - dark red, gray Thunder - yellow, orange Wildflower Wildfire - orange, blue, white Nectar of the Gods - green, gray Living Legend - gray, blue, black Cherry Blossom - gray, light blue, light green, light yellow Sweet Carolina - gives light yellow, light pink Guess I've memorised the tracklist by now

Text book - pistachio grey, kinda like the faded color you can see in how some black and white film fades.

Blue Banisters -  sunburnt tan, salmoned, the color of healed skin after a bruise

Arcadia - a soft yellow. all beautiful n glowy n warm but also the color of the skies after a fire overcasts the sky with ash and it's suddenly raining soot but it's beautiful.

Thunder - white, clear and can be great, but too much exposure to it can be blinding.
Dealer - Neon Orange w some tinge of green to it, offbeat, weird, honest and expressive. something sour, or like the color of a vomiting release.

Wildflower Wildfire - red violet, for the color of petals, mysterious, elegant and slightly a lot more regal and dreamy than just plain colored flames, think the fusion of the blue and red somehow, charming  and alive when bright, dire when dimmed.

Nectar of the Gods - golden yellow, honey, for the color of some literal nectar, can tie in synonymously w how Lana prefers the simplicity and humbleness of being human. can be pleasing to the eye for good times, but difficult to stare at when bad, since it's translucent quality can create a sticky haze.

Living Legend - Silver, mythic, glittering and reminiscent of how America's go to fashion for dazzling is that of sequins and glittery things. reminiscent also of how stars look to us from afar. can shine bright, but also the cold of it's overall shine that u can see collectively (damn lemme put this into some lyrics)

Cherry Blossom - bright soft pink, the color of actual cherry blossoms, a bright lively, warm pink. think of the residue of light from your eyes after looking into the sun from ur closed eyelids to opening.

    r u inspired?

Lana Del Rey should make a set of eyeshadow colour palette based on 15 tracks on "Blue Banisters"

I randomly thought of Thunder as a second single as well! Maybe our thoughts will come to fruition and there will be a release. I want to save the unheard tracks for the first listening of the album.

    Arcadia - Olive green
    Blue Banisters - navy blue
    Text Book - baby blue
Wildflower Wildfire - the eighth color of the rainbow that cannot be perceived by human eyes
    Dealer - Red and black
Thunder - A muted bluish-purple, like dusk in the summer. I get very specific vibes from that one.
Nectar of the Gods - Dark gray, pale purple
Cherry Blossom - pale pink, bright yellow-white
Living Legend - I actually never heard the leak for this, so I'm going to wait for the album

QFTC-  inspired by the upcoming 10th anniversary of Born to Die and the amazing fan-made book project, I’ve been playing the album and feeling my philosophical self. Can anyone imagine the culture if LANA DEL REY never rose to fame and remained an obscure performance artist? I shudder at the thought. I think I’d be truly dead by spontaneous combustion in a 2010s world of Gagas, Kardashians, and vapid influencers alone.

Some good performers make bops and some great musicians make a couple of powerful albums if they’re lucky, but Lana has given us a whole unassailable catalog of songs that serve many functions, not least as biting and brilliant cultural critiques. Lana isn’t a bop machine, nor even simply a rocket to the moon, but for a regular Joe like me she’s a whole ticket to the cosmos. Transformative and transcendent. Sometimes I wonder if I’ll ever love another human like I love and am grateful for Elizabeth Grant’s open and often bleeding heart.

I know this is the BB pre-release thread and I’m getting there. What I’ve heard of the album is so truly magnificent that I barely have words. I cannot stop playing Living Legend-Cherry Blossom-Nectar of the Gods. Dealer and Thunder feel like an evolution of my favorite sounds from Lust for Life (a monumental work I’ll defend to my dying breath). Text Book and Blue Banisters scared me when they first released but sound incredible in the larger context. Wildflower Wildfire is a Heroin-level track in my humble opinion. And Arcadia. Oh, Arcadia. Listening like I listened to Video Games means playing the video on YT and seeing the truth of Hollywood in the eyes of Paz de la Huerta. Only this time the truth is fully in Lana, fully possessing her authorial power, and it isn’t just Hollywood but the mercurial and painful Arcadia we’re all living in. I love her I truly love her. And I’m so completely thankful.

Okay listening to the four singles with headphones & at full volume is a holy experience. The opening seconds of Text Book are chilling. The creepy bass; the opening line. The tonal change from the somber bluesy verses to the dreamier and more ethereal chorus is sublime. And I adore Erickson's production on Arcadia. It's so rich and detailed yet never really draws attention to itself. Even from the very first seconds of the track...for example that cello in the background when Lana sings "angel" and "halo" sounds like a crying man. It's disturbing yet so impactful.

I'm very excited to listen to what Dawes and Erickson have done with the new tracks. Dawes always brings a rockier edge to the songs he produces.

I think that the album will be critically acclaimed. I doubt most critics have ever listened to leaked unreleased songs. But even if that's the case, as long as they're not out of place, they will be embraced by them. At least I hope so because Pitchfork's (unprofessional) review of Chemtrails focused on Lana's statements and QFTC instead of the music so you never really know.

My ex just texted me he got into a Vogue internship which interview I got for him when we were dating. We had a little bonding moment between the two of us, which was heartbreaking for me because even though I know we’re both madly in love with each other, we want different things… or maybe we’re in different timings. It’s like we used to be in the same wave for a period in time but now the sea has driven us apart and we’re at different points in the ocean; still able to feel our connection permeating between us but not close enough for an embrace.

He misses me and he told me that. I said I couldn’t possibly express what I feel through words (spoken or written) but a song perhaps could.
So I sent him Thunder. He saw my reply but hasn’t answered yet. I can almost feel him spinning the song on an endless loop, drinking all the emotion off of it. As I’m doing right now as well - both connected through four and a half minutes of a bittersweet journey.

Sorry for the random post but I feel like I wanted to share this with my LB family. My heart aches but there’s something about Thunder, in the midst of all the nostalgia and resignation that keeps me going. I can’t wait to be able to listen to it in our queen’s new album. What a time to be alive.

Just do it… just do it, don’t wait.
