LDR9 needs to be giving the vibes of

    Buddy's Rendezvous
    Venice Bitch
    Black Bathing Suit
    White Dress
    I Can Fly
    Wait for Life
    Terrence Loves You (spacey jazzy)
    Heroin
    The Greatest
    SportCruiser
a completely new sound exclusively for LDR9

thank you for coming to my TED talk.

Tell me you haven’t listened to Taylor Swift in over 10 years without telling me you haven’t listened to Taylor Swift in over 10 years

LDR9 should be a mix of WCE lyrics, BR vocals, and a fun production

Instead of escaping the wildfires, Del Rey steers herself straight into them on her ninth studio album.

There’s a seamless sense of continuity between the tracks on the record, with wah-wah pedals bleeding into warm synths and melting horn blows. The record almost seems to hearken back to the psychedelic languor of Honeymoon, but the surf rock influence that we heard breaths of in the Antonoff-produced Fuck it I love you has finally reached its full form.

The middle of the record takes an interesting twist with Bruise: the acid-tab-fed, siren little sister of Dealer. From this point on, the record becomes both darker and more abstract in its lyricism until the final, most jarringly autobiographical track of her career—Out Of The Ashes.

“The loves I lost to camera shutters/Wish I had no voice/But still I sing for you,” she says a final time in the absence of any instrumentation, punctuating the record with a half-whispered confession that leaves you uncomfortable for hearing something so personal.

this is the start of a new era.
so convincing, especially the change from high to low voice.
the outro, the last chorus, the instrumentation... just overwhelming.

Why do I feel like Lana is lowkey living for the fact that the only accessible recording of this sounds like it's coming through a 1930s phonograph. Future retro, the geniusness

i’m sorry but some of the hatred towards jack here lately has been so excessive & unnecessary, i mean, it’s always been like this, but i feel like nowadays if there’s any mention of jack or a photo of him posted this forum goes ballistic… honestly he’s really not that terrible & lana’s ultimately the one who decides the sound, we know he’s capable of making bangers, but blue banisters is proof that she prefers making acoustic, mellow music

Okay, I'm going to stop you right there. Wild at Heart might be different from her old songs (because it's a god-damned different genre) but that doesn't mean it's a bad song or that it deserves less love. It's a beautiful song, and I will not tolerate the disrespect!

who do you guys want to produce if not Jack?

i would so much rather have the guy who gave us MAC, VB, WD, COCC etc. over the LOSERS who produced crap like beautiful

grandpa Rick is the only acceptable alternative but I lowkey doubt he will ever produce for her again in any meaningful capacity. Or it would be nice if she branched out and found someone totally new but I feel like she much prefers working with people she knows and considers friends at this point

The photo with the mirror, spoons, and key are all antique silver that appear a bit dull. With Rick Nowels allegedly working on the next album, thinking about what that means…
