The new logo and DYKTATUOB being the single are making me think we are getting an album full of Thunder's and California's

When our Nicotine queen makes this the color scheme and releases a DNC flavor with Elfbar 

 

The logo will slay. She made the NFR work so this one will work as well. 
 
Have faith in the process! I have a feeling she has a clear aesthetic vision for this one.

I think seeing just the logo itself makes it easier for me to be negative towards it, but i’m sure it’ll end up making sense and looking good on the actual single/album cover itself

I remember being kinda sad that it wasn't the hydrangeas picture but the cover is so iconic and good

The color scheme, the font, I fear this is her return to the Glam/Metal/Hawaiian era  

I kind of like the logo, its giving me beachy, 70s retro vibes and I do like it 
 
For those who don't like it, just keep in mind that it could just be for the single cover, since she did a similar thing for LMLYLAW 
 
They even updated the whole website and store with the LMLYLAW aesthetic so it is very possible that they will update everything with the DYKTATUOB aesthetic and then later on the website and font will be changed again for the album

I just wanna ask this: who said this album was going to have variety? That’s the only thing I didn’t understand after skimming through the ATRL thread.

I’ve been able to finally login to my account (unlucky you, you have to deal with my observations and thoughts once more hahaha!)
Regarding BoZ’s description… I thought he was talking about the album rather than the first single… 
second of all, Ben did say it was a singer-songwriter beauty of an album (or something like that): I expect the lyrics to need a couple of listens and to be wordy, like she said. Not a bad thing - she seems to have included a lot of layers in the production to make the tracks lush.

tbh i’m 95% sure this is just because christmas is coming up  Even if you’re a local who only knows one album, or even a few songs, born to die is like one of the first albums a lot of people get on vinyl (& it helps that it’s cheap too), and record players tend to be a pretty popular christmas present

It's easily her best in a while. Insanely poetic, nostalgic, full of warmth, with stunning orchestral arrangement, rich vocal layering and large build up.
 
That's the exact quote, he never compared it to Arcadia and the snippet also doesn't remind me of it.
