This is the only pre-album cycle that we haven't been given an accompanying music video for any pre-album singles and/or trailer.
Unusual... but given the insider information around a "surprise" that finally does it right by fans, I suspect (and want) it to be something highly visual like a series of music videos or short film

idk who you think you are but do not start with me. nothing i said was rude and i did not @ you
i do not revolve my life around a forum, nor spreading negativity..
any posts i make on here are purely me being unserious and taking the piss or my GENUINE takes on things. i do not get involved with petty drama because i do not care nor am i 14 to be calling people out online. but i didn’t join a forum for people to talk about their opinions and differing opinions on lana (and other artists) for people to be downright disrespectful and slating others.
there’s a difference between not liking music and just being a dick
wasn’t trying to ‘serve’ i’m not a child who cares about validity from strangers on the internet nor do i care about some rando bitch sharing their 2 cents that i didn’t ask for on a post where 35 people seemed to agree with me. not going to reply, argue with the wall. stream the grants and good day.

The Grants is so fucking sentimental. I wish there was more too it lyrically but it makes me so emotional every time i listen cause i think about her d wording and makes me think about my own life and people in it and what memories i wish to take with me when i leave

The Grants...what an incredibly moving song. I love what she said about making the introduction to the entire record the gospel singers' "beautifully flawed" first take, completely for its symbolism of naturalness. What a wonderful thing to honour in your life's work and art.
As for the song itself, there could not be a more fitting sentiment than "I'm gonna take mine of you with me" in regards to the memories we have of our loved ones and what we really should take away from life once we're gone. A beautiful reminder that will perfectly open this record. Stunning vocals, heavenly harmonies, and touching lyrics. <3
