Crimson and Clover

I have 0 problems with the collabs on CoCC. Unike L4L and BPBP, which were forcefully re-written to be collabs (and it shows), BUS was a duet from the get-go and I really prefer the For Free version that featured Weyes and Zella. Plus none of those featured artists are as annoying as Spongebob Nicks and the Screechnd.
I don't think CoCC is even in the top 3 of her best title tracks so far. It's a nice song but it's just so shallow compared to Born To Die, Honeymoon or Norman F*cking Rockwell. I'm not sure whether I like it more than UV, so it would be myleast favourite title track, not counting the horrendeous Lust For Life with the Weeknds castrato voice.

It's not like she's singing Carrie Underwood tracks here, she may be exploring a more folk/country sound but she definitely puts her own uniquely Lana spin on all her music. I also wouldn't call this is a recent interest of hers. Lana has been talking about her folk idols and interests for a long time, she's always been working towards this sound. She's like a folk singer who got swooped up into the world of pop music, and I think the balance between the two gives her such a special and specific vibe. 
 
Anyways her best album is coming so I don't think she needs to take any hints 

Just listened to Cherry for the first time in like a year or whatever, and I remembered why I never play it... Her voice is just so distant and non-engaging. This is why I barely listen to the album.

At this point, complaining about NFR is not an unpopular opinion yet y’all insist on bringing it up every 2-3 weeks

I've disliked it since it was two months old. There's just no emotion in her voice.

Season of the Witch is one of my favorite covers from her. More covers of rock/folk please! 

She's a known troll. She's been posting "leaks" for YEARS. She's literally present in every era. She photoshops album covers into other CDs and makes it look like she's got it in advance from Target (or that she stole them)
 
On Norman, she posted fake lyrics, like the iconic Love Song's "in the cock, in the cockpit" or the Bartender one, where Lana talked about a black man stealing money

immediately when I heard this I actually had 2 opinions of it. first like the rest of us we were probably thinking what why is she ending the record. mentioned bc it's important on the article(?)  and it might just be a reflection of how her fans think that she might be taking a break from music or stopping altogether. 

but what I see from it is. u know how Lana usually covers songs from other artists as closers. Well I actually think it's her sort of just passing the torch and being generous w her music by letting another girl finish the record. mothering. in a way, it's kind of selfless and could be symbolic for sharing her perspective confidently w others, aka the girls. 

I keep going back to how Bartender was sort of a bridge to this upcoming album, the mothering post, being nurtured. the call for solidarity from May. the music video. the album cover. the central theme so far about it is the fostering of love from other women and being able to be who she wants to be (so making her own definition of it). 

it's really interesting to see how everything else plays out. and i'm excited to hear what she'll be sharing with us even more.
