I can feel in my bones that he’s also going to read the lyrics to Beautiful off of Genius mid-review & drag her rhyming. He did the same with Yosemite & I just sense it’ll be a repeat scenario lol

 

I hate him for doing that, not because of the song, but because there is not a single lyric that will survive being taken out of context, stuck up on the screen, and then recited in a bored/sarcastic voice. It's lazy reviewing, and people do it all the time because they're out of ideas.

Same! Do I like those specific lyrics I mentioned? Not as much, but I think her delivery of the words can be just as important, and Fantano seems to overlook that consistently in Lana’s discography, sadly

i don't understand the point of judging the lyrics by how they look written out... i can understand looking up the lyrics to get a better understanding of them in general, but looking up the lyrics to read them out doesn't make any sense because they might make more sense or just better in the context of the song itself... what happened to just listening to the song and deciding whether or not you like it and why?

Idk I think he could go either way. He really liked Blue Banisters and Text Book, and was meh about Arcadia (THE LACK OF TASTE) and WW. He hasn’t explicitly disliked any of her new tracks so I feel something like 6 or 7. (he gave NFR! an 8)

2 hours till release here in the US  ive listened to the LQ leak a bunch but haven't listened to the album in full + high quality yet so im excited to experience it the way its intended for the first time  its so crazy thinking how different everything was during COCC and realizing that was only 7 months ago  anyways this is probs my last post till the post release thread it was fun girls n gays we did it  LDR9 announcement coming tomorrow
