Producers get usually paid just a fee for studio time with an artist and then get the royalties from it if the song(s) gets actually released. I don't get the uproar with this topic   

I understand that it sucks for him to have a song you produced get popular and not make any money off it but neither did Lana (and if she did, he did too cause he's in the credits).
