Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd - Pre-Release Thread: OUT March 24th, 2023

Ben payola’d Spotify pretty f*ck’n hard. Dua not with him anymore pushed him to do this. The management also paid a bunch of celebs to make Instagram stories promoting the song during release week.

I’m fuming because Venice Bitch, Doin Time, etc deserve. They did nothing for those songs.

I really thought Ben would do more for her after Dua left. Playlisting and billboards are the bare minimum for an artist signed to a major label.

Something to distract you:

I made a list with all released Lana songs that are exactly 5 minutes long or longer. We have 30 songs so far which is a good amount & 3 of them are on the upcoming album & we haven't gotten the whole tracklist yet & all track lengths,  really curious how many I have to add to the list on March 10th:true:

The list is in the spoiler & sorted from longest to "shortest". Cruel World already went from her second longest to her third longest & I'm wondering if there is another Tunnel song that is longer than Cruel World. I also made them a playlist & I can highly recommend to do that & listen to it. Her longest songs are truly masterpieces & by that logic Ocean Boulevard has to be a stunning album since we know there are several  5 & 6+ minutes songs:true:

Last night I had a dream that Lana went live so I wanted to make a list of things I think would be interesting if people asked her if she goes live before album release (or even just an interviewer should ask her this lol)

-What's your favorite song on the album? VS what do you think will be the fans favorite?

-Your style has changed a lot since Born to Die, sonically and writing-wise, did a big change in your life or in the studio cause this shift, or did it just slowly/ naturally happen?

-What work (your own or others) were the biggest inspiration for this album?

- What is your process when refining an albums tracklist?

-Why did you put youtube rips on blue banisters?

streams only count if you listen to more then half of the song though, so the song had to be interesting for atleast some people so that they don't skip it

See when you make appealing music that people want to listen to, the streams will just explode.

an artist making music for the sole purpose of getting massive streams without wanting to make this type of music is sadder then a flop album

Imagine seeking so much validation in your own pathetic life that you have to judge other people's success based upon popularity; especially when the greatest artists of all time barely make a dent on streaming and haven't been making profits in years. WORRY ABOUT THAT!

where did the information that the album was 80 minutes long on lanapedia come from? i doubt it’s true

BoZ said it's just under 80 minutes.

I asked Asmodeus (the demon of lust) to make Miley Cyrus suffer. I am not happy with these new developments. After Miley rips off Lana's aesthetic, she bullies Lana into changing her release date. It is infuriating.

An artist can make good music that can also appeal to a lot of people. Popular =/= bad.

considering what's the most popular music out right now, and what's appealing to a lot of people, i'm HAPPY that lana is not making music that "appeals to a lot of people" :awkney: the state of popular music is abysmal right now, at this point i'm just waiting for it to hit rock bottom so we can shift back to people making actual good music again :awkney:

okay but 80 minutes for the album, assuming each interlude is 2 minutes long, leaves 76 minutes for 14 songs, so 5,42 minutes per song… :lange:

Also, he said that dividing the time by the tracks doesn't work, some songs are much longer than others; he said there are multiple songs over 6 minutes though! But I do predict at least two or three songs that aren't interludes to be around 2:40-3~
