Let's look at the first single in a different context: what if her (fictional) role on this album is a whore? The artwork and a song title give clues to that, of course. Thus, in this song she is waiting for her punter, who has several affairs. "When it's gonna be my turn?" and "fuck me to death" now have a different meaning and make more sense. Maybe this tunnel is a place where she used to meet her punter, but he hasn't visited it for a long time?

leading to the critics inevitably spinning it into her "showing support towards Tr*mp",

I'd say mid January. They'll probably want to release at least one single close to the album date for promo purposes but I don't think she'll stay silent until then so another song in between makes sense (and January feels like the most logical and properly spaced out date).

 

If we go with the Chemtrails rollout as an example we got LMLYLAW early, Chemtrails in January and White Dress in March
