Looking back at her initial "Welcome Nashville, Hollywood," interview, it was clear as day that she just didn't want to jump on the country bandwagon.  She basically said "Yeah, I announced I was gonna do it, and everyone when silent. Then suddenly, everyone started announcing the same thing. So, fuck me if I'm gonna do what everyone else is doing. I'm not a sheep."

 

In hindsight, we were dumb to be confused, it was clear as day.

 

She's clearly changed directions mid-way, which explains needing more time to figure it all out.

Reminder that we have never gone more than 2 years without a new album. 2025 is in 2 months so likeee, guys we are soon being fed, but i doubt that will be lasso and isn’t that exciting?

We did get WHF and RCS, but now that I think about it, the only times we do get a Lana project on time is when it’s for a soundtrack or when she is collaborating with another artist on their album

I commented this on a page before, but it feels like she wanted to do country and then when she heard everyone else rolling out their country records it gave her the ick and she didn’t want to do it anymore 

 

as if she heard their “country” albums and disliked them and thought they sounded gimmicky and then worried that’s how hers may come across too
