In "Sad Girl" I cannot exile from my mind hearing "He's got the fire and the Lucifer" (maybe I'm possesed ) and "His bonnie on the side (...) makes me sick, sick girl". Obviously there are demonic connotations for me in that song. Not in a christian way, but in terms of all-devouring and destructive passion (it reminds me on my most fatal affair that almost lead me to death )

 

Lana's songs are like strobe flashes on an ominous night highway that fire off their blinding bullets to the wounded, shivering deer of my burried memories, or like owl howls that disturb their graveyard rest.
