tldr at bottom. 
a while back I had posted about an album concept I was working on a few (like 2 people) were curious as to what it was so after spending months (of procrastination) i've finally finished some of the design aspects and wanted to share it with anybody who may be interested! While I like graphic design, I am by no means skilled, so try not to judge my covers too harshly lmao. I know there's a topic dedicated to album concepts, but i like attention so There's also a lot of details that went into this concept beyond "here's a tracklist" so i felt its own thread was warranted.
 
tldr; made album concept. extra deetz n pics in spoilers. 
 
I consider this to be my take on the original concept of ultraviolence. bit of ultraviolence mixed with some honeymoon and maybe even some slight aka, though this is more thru the story i was attempting to tell vs what songs are on the album. heavy on those dark cultish theatrics we could have had! Pretty proud of the tracklist and spent ages trying to find songs that fit the vibe, story, and transitioned well into each other. I'd say the only transition I don't like is from god knows i tried to your girl, but overall think it isn't too noticeable.

I am shocked and disappointed by the disregard for and trivialization of the inter-generational trauma and cultural loss that many diasporic communities in the west and those still in eastern countries have experienced as a result of colonization. The centring of predominantly white voices in this thread reeks of privilege and shame. 

I’m just surprised with the amount of people who seem surprised that people are actually happy about her death - as morbid as that sound (I remain indifferent but understand). She represented the monarchy and empire that completely fucked the country up and all of its people. India is still waiting for the koh-I-noor diamond to be returned, which resides in her CROWN. So much wealth was stolen from the country and so many lives were lost. Not to say she did it herself, but the monarchy as a whole is continuing that shit. She was the queen, she inherited all that money and power that her grandparents stole from people around the world. She actively maintained a grasp on existing colonies, and that made her a colonist. I have no recollection of any attempt to right those wrongs. And as someone whose ancestors have been colonized in both sides (one from the English, one from the Spanish), fuck. that. shit. 

So uh, did you miss the part where the British ruled a good chunk of the world?

Honestly almost all of the laptop demos and acapella songs we have have some potential. Maybe not the hot potato song  but there's a lot of interesting melodies and lyrics in those tracks. I still listen a lot to C U L8R Alligator and its unofficial studio version.
For the newer tracks... I'd like to listen to the whole LA Who Am I song and even if it's mostly instrumental the melody is so catchy... I wish she made it a full song.
