ANOTHER Tropico thread... 

People fighting over a technically imaginary album is so funny to me idk like this is all hypothetical 

Hi! I wanted to make a thread where people could discuss and maybe share info about the Tropico album, because it really interests me and I'm sure some of you feel the same way! 
 
What we know:
- It was recorded during late 2012-2013 but was eventually scrapped and turned into "Ultraviolence".
- Lana announced that the short film would use three tracks from "Paradise" instead of songs from her then scrapped album in July of 2013.
- "Elvis", the laptop demo from 2008 was possibly considered for inclusion on the album, but was probably never re-recorded.
- The concept "Ultraviolence" was born and "Tropico" was scrapped sometime after October 23, 2013, since Pink Champagne is confirmed to be on Tropico's tracklist, and it is the latest known recording date we know of for any of the songs on Tropico.

ah yes because she’s never promised to ‘just drop a load of singles before’…  (no shade at you)

Just listened to her podcasts on Forbidden Fruits and some things I've noted:
 
- she did used to actively go against beauty standards but now finds it fun to try
- she's had the album (book 1?) done for 2 years but is now bored of it and has started new things, doesn't really know if it/when it will get released 
- good that she's trying to protect her children somewhat from the public
- mentions having a minor god-complex  but is embarrassed by it sometimes
- thinks she shouldnt do anything crazy (like go to space) until her kids are 18
 
 
but anyways 
 

The craziest thing she could do is actually release music. So i guess that means we aren’t getting a new album for 18 years. 

In a few weeks we’ll get a few weeks.

Dedicated is still great but it is questionable when you look at how amazing the unreleased songs are…

SAWAYAMA was one of the worst deluxes imaginable; still triggered by that. 
 
I'd love Missing Summers to be added, just to have a 'complete' HTG collection. Mission U was also just randomly registered again... I don't mind her tacking on RS1 leftovers if it means getting HWWT!

I didn't know what to use for my Midnights cover since none of them have all the songs on them so I just made my own that matches the tracklist I got saved to my library. I replaced the regular SOTB with the more Lana version and didn't save the Karma remix. I also put Hit Different as the first bonus track cause it makes more sense that way to me. Also got rid of the (From the Vault) on You're Losing Me cause it makes no sense to have (From the vault) on just that song and not all of the bonus tracks tbh.

She changed the melody and suddenly she "sounds ai generated" yall need better ears!

lipsters have been begging for her to sing in a lower register the entire LDR9 pre-release thread and now they got it and it suddenly doesnt sound like her anymore

I refuse to think that they didn’t press a 7” vinyl for this release

I bet Lana doesn't even know this song is being released. Ben just dropped by to talk to her in her house and sneakily took a random ass picture of the sis while they were chatting to look as if she is "saying yes to heaven" and decided to move things quickly after that

hopefully that unreleased record but knowing her team im not gonna get my hopes up 

I just wanna know if this is meant for something bigger or just a single stand alone release like she did with Looking For America
