I loved this album so so much. I actually was thinking of coming here the day it dropped but I didn't! But I was here during the pre-release and was actually so excited because I am always excited about her upcoming projects even if I don't end up liking them that much. It happened to me with NFR, COCC and BB, and I do appreciate many things about those albums - The Greatest might be one of her best songs ever, and there are many beautiful songs in all of those three projects, but I didn't like them that much. But I was super excited about this one since she dropped that first interview, and I love love love love it. It's such an special album. It's so like her old stuff but it remains fresh and new and it seems like she's blended everything in one album. Anyways I'm back! Loved the MITA show so so much. She really outdid herself.

I  was thinking of Inherent Vice and GTA when doing this one. 

This might be my favorite one I've done. That's the Beverly Hills hotel. I don't remember from what book was the illustration for, I shuld look that up. I was thinking about Tura Satana. 

The girls are from a Ed Wood movie poster! 

And this is Clara Bow!

And here's Lana above LA, as if she was its mountains.

I remember when this album first came out. I was 13 and I didn't like the vibes I got from the cover. I wanted something like BTD... And then it came out and I loved it and still do. It's such a dark, complex record. She was at a terrible moment in her life and the fact that she was able to build something so enchanting and special... That's a lot. Love UV to pieces.
