This exhausting discourse aside, the album is great on the 20th listen. I dont care very much for Beautiful or VFR. That’s not to say they’re bad but I think the rest of the album is much better/ intery

Omg the amount of reviews I've seen mention pandemic weight gain in Black Bathing Suit and then move on to a different track blows my mind. This is like the track that they should be analyzing deeply considering it's a full drag of them, but instead they're just like wow Lana is so relatable singing about clothing sizes. 
 
 
In Lana's world I would say the colour blue is pretty wild and fucking crazy LOL she has used it throughout her whole discography to describe so many different emotions, some positive, some negative, so I love this acknowledgement in the song that the colour blue is all over the place in her world.
 

After watching the bald man's review and reading some posts on Reddit over the past few days, I find it ridiculous/funny that people are not getting Dealer. Like I could understand someone not liking the sound but saying she's failing to belt or that her higher register is shaky when she is OBVIOUSLY screaming/yelling and not trying to sound "good" is just silly to me. How can people not realize it, it's like they shut off their brains when they listen to Lana's music? lol

this is an interesting take because personally i felt like wildflower wildfire worked so well between thunder & nectar of the gods. especially right before nectar of the gods, i do think lyrically they're so perfect beside each other and sometimes i almost even forget how old nectar of the gods is because it just belongs beside wildflower wildfire but then again we all do have a different listening experience. it's just interesting how completely opposite we can all see the same things. i love it.
 

why do people always care so much about what that bald man says,, he’s literally some guy with a youtube channel. there are so many men that hate lana’s music lol what makes him so special why is his opinion and music taste so important to people

yeah i dont think fantanos take was that great. i understood where he was coming from with some of his points (especially when he said that some of the tracks sound unfinished bc technically they were bc she literally put the leaked demos from youtube on there) but i love the album. plus i think he and all other critics cannot stop comparing her albums to NFR… its so annoying like get over it.

I think some of the meltdowns in the previous pages have more to do with people realizing this is just Lana’s new sound. Jack wasn’t pushing this piano agenda, she wants piano. And while she is still definitely experimenting (dealer, bbs), she’s taken a turn out of the BTD and UV era, with a few homages sprinkled now and then. 
 
that Lana sound ain’t coming back and BB solidifies her decision to keep playing in the music sandbox of experimentation and complex, vulnerable writing.

i feel like you are hung up on the 25k opening numbers. Are they bad? Yes but you do realize they are so low because her physical sales are not counted in this week right? She would be debuting with 50-60k if they were. Which is still a significant drop from her previous 100k+ debuts, but not terrible.
 
Also, I feel like her label is very relaxed with this release. They haven’t even restocked the vinyls on her website. Lol

Her managers were right when they said she was a Rite Of Passage artist. She will always stream well because of BTD-UV-NFR and so it allows her to make personal less mainstream albums like HM or CoCC
