i want to talk to whoever runs ldrvillage. these busted designs don’t represent anything to do with the blue banisters era at all. like, they’re literally horrendous? new merch drops every other day but it’s just 2012 and 2015 pics with LANA DEL REY pasted on it. like ? 
 
we couldn’t get a Black Bathing Suit with a cute lana logo embroidered on it? a normal t shirt with the album cover on it? they couldn’t have done something like Taylor did with the all too well notebook for Text Book? a cute little litho of a map of la with some lana design? red cowboy boots? a ‘Hot Coffee’ thermos? 
 
sorry for the angry post, and i know merch isn’t that big of a deal, but the quality of this stuff sucks ass. to think this is the same person that was selling Coke spoons back in 2015, it seems as though she doesn’t even look at what is being released now and it’s frustrating because there’s so much potential. i’d rather have 10 merch pieces that reflect the era and are designed well, than have 10 merch items drop every 4 days that look as though they were made in 2 minutes on Picsart 

I hate the version we got on the album after she performed it at the Apple event, I wish to one day hear the demo

blackoutzone revealed that the album title was most likely changed again, and a lot of songs were scrapped, including loved you then & still, and also, 99centlips found mysterious photos of a sky with trees & distorted grass from the ldr village website

i'm having the worst week of my life, so to treat myself i just put in my order for Ennio Morricone - Passion on 2xLP from my local record store! i'm super into his work. look at this pretty little thing:
and the description of this release just makes me even more excited to pick it up when i can:
so pumped!  i do hope to eventually get the other Ennio Morricone theme releases, but for now this'll do to cheer me up!
 
i'm honestly not sure i'm gonna pick anything up for RSD... i really can't afford it although i never got Chromatica on vinyl and that's my second fave Gaga album, so hmmm...... 

It's so sad that Kiss from Carly Rae Jepsen is only a picture disk vinyl. Wish it had a hard cover.

I haven’t coasted this thread in a long time. I have to say - it makes the wait more bearable, it’s like you’re not watching paint dry everyday!  I think that’s why NFR! felt like a, dare I say, great pre-release period for me. Highly recommend just going about your life without thinking about this too much to anyone who’s experiencing frustrations! <3

I do not like the BLM line, because it comes off as narcissistic virtue signaling. She said “and I saw you saw who I am”, so in the end the whole BLM line is about how Lana’s man can see her virtue and how that makes her feel virtuous, and she makes the whole movement about her. Of the three songs, TB really has not aged well for me. All the daddy lyrics make me cringe, and the chorus melody is very catchy but just seems like a generic pop melody. There are still a lot of things about this song that I like, but I stopped listening to TB mostly. WF and and BB are still good though.

But Lana is still a money machine for them and they don't even have to spend a lot on her cause she does like 1 o 2 big MV each era and that's it. I'm sure they are happy to have Lana signed 

Aww that’s even more beautiful! Jack seems like the guy who you meet and feel comfortable with. Lana shared Hope with him. That song still scares me by how touching it is. I also think because the rollout of NFR! lasted a year we felt we no longer could get a connection to it, but it is still a very pretty album! I cried to every song when the album came out and I never had that at first listen with anything else, well, later when LiB leaked I cried. 
 
And I agree her writing was strong on NFR!, but I don’t feel she ever fails in her lyrics
 
I’m happy you’re spreading your thoughts for some of us to think about. I like NFR! And LfL and all the other albums too, for sure, but for different reasons. Some should stop hating on people who have different taste. Maybe I like strawberry more and you might like blueberry more. We all get our favorite flavor

i keep wondering why lana specifically chose mike dean to be her producer. he is obviously known to work with kayne, beyoncé, travis scott, so did those artists somehow inspire her? could this tie into the collab boz was teasing a few weeks ago? so many questions
