I looooooove how she sounds her vocals are incredible! a huge fan of the back up vocals too! <3
 
my only criticism is that realistically im not sure how often ill come back to this right now, simply bc this is such a summer song and here in the UK we're deep in the trenches of fall/winter haha. but once it warms up a little this'll be on my spring/summer playlist for sure! she sounds so good and it's SO refreshing to hear her push her vocals more, especially after NFR where her vocals were much more relaxed

i feel like the general consensus is that stevie nicks ruined BPBP, but for me, she's the single reason i listen to that song. when her vocals kick in along with the drum beat it's like heaven, and hearing both her and lana sing together is gorgeous. also i love the lyric "my heart is soft, my past is rough"

Anyways, can a someone explain to me why her voice sounds different here? I feel like I've never heard her sound like this even though she's done plenty of (jazzy) covers like this. Her Lana accent feels gone in some parts I'm so confused. (Also this isn't a critcism, she sounds amazing--just different to me for reason)

it was announced a while ago! but it kinda flew under the radar. it was supposed to be premiering at the Tribeca film festival earlier this year but for obvious rona-related reasons that didn't happen  but now it's finally coming and im so fkn excited! omg his show at the back of the truck will always kill me 
 
and same - outta my head was incredible, my agenda was sooooo fucking sick too! i sorta feel like there's gonna be a starz movie, kinda like he did with stranger. i'm 99% sure he filmed something for butterfly paralysed so hopefully we'll see that at least?? also a tour soon pls leandoer pls

I think it's one of my favourite things she's done. It was more than a single song contributed to a film, it became a whole central element, she was fully absorbed into a world where she would absolutely exist in herself. Everything was perfect 

this is also a rly interesting decision though to launch two eras concurrently? I'm intrigued to see what the visuals will look like for both of the albums and how much they'll differ.
 
Really hope she includes that cover of For Free by Joni Mitchell she performed with Zella Day and Weyes Blood though :-0

NFR is such good studying vibes and idk why that is? im not sure what exactly about the album makes me feel that way hahaha. but it really is a shame the instrumentals haven't leaked yet - they would be SO DAMN GOOD to study to

the fact that she's covering a song that is sampled in a song that she's already covered is really reminding me of how she constantly reused lyrics back in the day   

Finding it hard to be excited for this, i hope there’s a few surprises covers on this that we wouldn’t expect. I know she’s the perfect person to do American classic covers but it also feels so predictable that it’s kinda boring. I dunno, maybe i’ll love it.
