Ew. EW. why TF are we talking about a delay. Yall, no. Im sorry, even though her track record is sort of...ass...this album is coming. I refuse to entertain the thought that she'd delay this. There is no point or reason she could come up with. Have some faith brethren and sistren. Also sorry my tone comes off so strong, I came on here and saw all these "delay" posts and honestly saw a bit of red. Even though its not that serious hahah but for real, we're getting this. It will be low-key and made for the stans, which is us. Ok, I feel better. Adding delay to the cursed filthy word list, "soon" being chief among them.

Can we please start asking for a cover of...

But no seriously I agree about the delay thing. I’m not hyped for this new record because I feel burned from the last one not coming out lmao. Where’s the person who said this album was coming Easter hahah that was the real tea 

Even if it’s only 8 tracks...if they’re all amazing, I’d dig a cute EP to get us to Chemtrails. Summertime is already beautiful: anything in that vein will make me happy (still secretly wish she’ll include The Good Life, though very unlikely).

I just listened to LFL in full today and had a lot of feelings
 
1) I love this album IDCCCC love love LOVE
2) I love 13B and I used to hate it, the instrumental is phenomenal
3) I love how in love and heroin, the last chorus goes from you, to I (I’m flying to the moon again, I get ready I get all dressed up)
4)BAR belongs on LFL and you can’t change my mind 
5) I’ll never remember going though my first huge heart break and love leaking like days later and sobbing to the song and video for a month straight 
6) Groupie love is incredible
7) (only lowkey I still love the released) justice for title track 
8) F all you haters it’s an incredible album

So I think I cracked another drug reference code. I don’t mean to sound repetitive but when I hear these songs again lately I’m thinking WOAH WHAT.... how could I have missed this? This one I think is a stretch and is more wrong than the one I mentioned a few weeks ago in the post about Backfire but i digress. It’s not meant to be an absolute “THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT SHE MEANT, IT’S EXACTLY TRUE 100000%” take with a grain of salt
 
 just a theory yet again, I don’t think it’s absolutely true, but think about this:

”I’ve been working everyday 8 to 9” who works 13 hour days? I mean, I get it, she lived in a trailer park at one point in her life, I’m sure she probably worked a lot at a drive in or wherever, but some people consider drug dealing as a side hustle/job (or if you’re selling enough, full time job) but, let’s just keep going
”Serving coke and fries at the movie blue drive in” So... serving coke (selling yayo) and fries (could be a slight drug reference to weed, acid, whatever really. Being fried is a reference I’ve always know as being high as fuck on weed, but Urban Dictionary apparently thinks it’s about LSD so.... idk think of it as you want.) Blue... anyone familiar with baby blue pills? Watson makes blue hydrocodone pills. The blue part is an even bigger stretch when it comes to this line, but it made me think, “why the fuck did she say movie blue drive in”????
“I don’t wanna care tonight, I don’t wanna fight” She’s down to feel out of her element tonight, maybe down to use and she doesn’t wanna argue about it
 
 
This song has always had that creepy, stalker ex gf vibe to it for me, along the lines of Serial Killer, like a sister track to it. Does anyone know exactly when it was written? I’m just saying, Lana tends to have double meanings in her music and I could never figure out this song. I think for me, this makes the most sense. Like I was saying earlier, before yall come for me, I think I am 98% wrong (and maybe a slight drug reference was used unintentionally)

the chance of it getting a vinyl are super slim since she’s releasing it digitally because of COTCC’s vinyl delay
 
I expect some kind of CD/ITunes pre order in the near future since her original announcement for the project has a Christmas release date..but we will see! She isn’t the most reliable when it comes to release dates

heroin and the original lust for life demo definitely suit eachother because they're both very ambient and atmospheric, like floating through space, i really wish she didn't change the original concept and sound of lust for life, the witchy / spacey / folk concept was so cool 
 

I miss the ambience Lana used to include in her music. The live show samples, the sounds of crowds and birds. Norman feels like it’s missing so much atmosphere... almost like sitting in a quiet car and hearing that ringing sound of the silence. Nothing she makes sounds as “anthemic” or voluminously crafted as National Anthem or Lolita anymore. God Bless America & Heroin were a nice throwback though in terms of production.

i expect to hear this being played in pubs by groaning drunk bald guys at full blast during football season next year
