If you hate Melanie and her music so much, then how come you check this thread every day while doing the most to try and get her stuff (failing miserably the majority of the time)?  Very funny coming from somebody who doesn't care about her.

That video actually made me more interested in her upcoming poetry book(s) since she mentioned it. When is Behind The Iron Gates coming?? Has she already written enough for another book??

I actually don't think this is something she's wanted to do for a long time because if you truly wanna delete your social media, why would you keep repeatedly posting there and updating it again and again? It's not like she had a contractual obligation to keep posting random photos/videos of her life and her ramblings and what not. 
 
She's historically been a rather spontaneous/reactive person and I think it's another of those times hm... 

That definitely caught my attention too, it could be nothing but the way she made it a point to mention that seemed weird

Yeah the timing is just bizarre. She was posting so much these days and she does seem genuinely excited and proud of the new record so this decision to deactivate is shocking. 

something's off... she was almost crucified after qftc and she still kept her social media but she's deactivating right before releasing a new album? that makes no sense...

And the video itself… it’s just weird. Maybe it’s the conspiracy theorist in me but her facial expressions, the way she smiled, the way she blinked, idk… it gave me the impression that either something really bad happened or she was being forced to do this- which wouldn’t make sense bc she’s always had a lot of freedom to do anything she wanted to. 
I just…don’t know. It just didn’t seem like she was relieved/happy w this decision

Tbh, I think there’s definitely more to it than just “I’m tired of the negativity/want to deactivate bc idc abt stuff like this”. I felt weird watching the video, there was something unsettling to it. As @Arcadia said, I don’t want to be all conspiracy theories on this, bc I have some, but yeah….
On a lighter note: I’ll stop saying bad stuff abt Guns and Roses if it means she’s not deactivating

-posts cryptic video with subliminal messages hinting trust, secret projects, smaller circle...
-literally looks like she’s being held at gun point and says “we are deactivating” 
all in the middle of an album rollout nonetheless

It's all left me feeling unsettled... I don't know why... Something feels off! I hope she's ok. I can understand needing to be away from social media. People post such hurtful stuff about her

the inner circle comment and the music video tweet make it seem like something triggered this

Also idk her saying “WE” when referring to the accounts really made me think that this was something not entirely her decision
