We've talked about it in here before but she really does need to stop with these diary-like lyrics. Enough.
Ever since VBBOTG, it's as if she thinks that every single word in her diary is so fantastic that needs to be bestowed upon the world in the form of a song or poem. As I've said before, there's no filtering, and there's also no development of thoughts.
I also don't understand the people who say such lyrics are relatable. I go swimming in my friends' pools too but I don't listen to Blue Banisters and tear up because Jenny swam in Lana's pool.
Her lyrics of the past invoked feelings because the ideas and statements were more developed and therefore much more meaningful. There was an element of wisdom and now that's missing.
    Possible album spoiler statement
I hope she takes a long break before she threatens to release her next album (covers excluded) because I think, without one, it's gonna be more of the same

I LOVE it when she sings "Nikki Lane" on BB. The musicality of the name, the rhythm of the syllables, the 2 different ways she draws out the "Laaaane," the rhymes with vane and pain and rain and baby on the way and green & grey, the specificity of the storytelling, the set-up for BUS, and a light splash of trolling given the fan sentiment about Nikki. It's super iconic.

Yeah it's just a different style of writing, and I personally prefer the style of the past.
That's not to say that I need her to be writing about glamourous subject matter for it to be appealing. For example, I think that MAC is one of her strongest songs lyrically and it's not about Hollywood or Lamborghinis or anything

    PINK GERANIUMS (2022)
Pink Geraniums is album mixing retro-futuristic flair. It combines hip-hop, trip-hop and R&B vibes with electronic sounds, synths, drums, percussion, muddy trap beats with some sprinkle of psychedelia, desert rock, neo-soul aura. It will have also some dreamy, ambienty touch with grain of piano. Mixture 80s/90s retro/vintage vibes with futuristism is giving great pleasure during listening. That made this album is not only critically acclaimed (91 on MC) but is fan favourite also.
Album is produced by Mike Dean, Kevin Parker, Jeff Bhasker, Emile Haynie, Arca, Kaytranda, Steven Martens, Tim Larcombe, Jack Antonoff.
Cover was made by Neil Krug (in reality by me)

Also, is it really okay to say that Lana hates her mother? I mean, she surely has issues with Patty, but we don't know a thing about them now... and I think it is only right this way. As fans, we feel so close to Lana and we kinda want to "protect" her, especially when Lana herself is so honest and intimate in her songs/poetries, but that still doesn't allow any of us to interfere with her private life, like insulting her mother under her father's IG

He turned the comments off for the baby pics too. Because Lana hates her mother, stans think it's okay to tell Patty to "die!! evilbitch!!!" on her husband's photo. The poor man is too old to be dealing with crazy stans.

No ones heard Patty side of the story. She doesn't deserve that kind of vitriol.

I think it's sweet symbolically that she has included the family that is still in her life on the closing track. from a purely thematic standpoint, i think it's beautiful that she is showing forgiveness by including her father on the same record that has Text book and a really interesting concept given what she's said about how at the end of the record we will hear "where she is now"- that is, présumabley in her small circle of trust.
THAT BEING SAID i agree it's probably not going to be on of her better songs overall. im predicting For Free pt 2 and that it's probably not going to do anything for most of her fans. im mostly just excited to hear what the hell all her family and friends sound like on a song together with her

The outstretched tongue and middle finger in the Arcadia video is immature and destroys the credibility of the preceding four minutes.

As many of you know, we've been waiting for an abandoned re-release of AKA for years now. While the songs themselves are timeless, I know that since they're almost 12 years, to some people they could've aged by now. I made the entire production over-all more "shimmery", more detailed, and more emphasis on the mellow and simplistic synthesizers. After making several revisions to most of them, I finally found the presets and equalizers that made these songs sound as fresh as it did the first time I listened to it. Let me know how you guys like the new sounding tracks

Arcadia’s 2nd mv was also a special moment for the fanbase because it was finally a surprise that wasn’t spoiled by those damn insiders trying to be relevant. If something is meant to be a surprise don’t fucking ruin it just because you want twinks praising you on Twitter

It absolutely does! I don't think I'll ever outgrow the sound or the emotional songs. It almost still seems like the peak of music to me- not in a way that describes my absolute favourite genre, but in a way that so much was going on. It's still like its own world.
